Land vs Turkish Cypriots?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Your father married a Cypriot woman and therefore he qualifies as a Cypriot citizen. You were born in Cyprus and are of part Cypriot parents and therefore are a Cypriot.

Allowing settlers to stay, especially when the plans presented so far contain NOT ONE WORD for the repatriation of diaspora Cypriots is a recipe for future disasters.

If setttlers are allowed to stay and have citizenship rights, and if that happens on the other side of the ethnic divide. it is conceivable we could en up with an Pontian president and an Anatolian vice president who by virtue of the rotation will also be presiden for a while. Dont you people see the resentment this will cause, along with the property issues, in any future settlement?

There is a huge difference between redistribution of land between CYPRIOTS and in giving non Cypriots part of our joint patrimony. IF you do not see this you are not really Cypriot in outlook and you do not care about peace in the future. I cant put it any plainer than that.

All settlers go unless they have married a Cypriot. On the Greek side there are 10 to 15 thousand Greeks from Pontos. They have not been given CYpriot nationality. They are on immigrant visas like all the other foreign workers who have come to Cyprus for work. They DO NOT VOTE. The situation is not comparable to the north by a long shot. But to avoid ambiguity, repeat- all settlers go- there is a lot to be done about diaspora Cypriots before any one even begins to think of settlement by non Cypriots.

1)of the social problem they will cause in case of a solution
2)Of the change in demographics which influence political rights
3)Because your settlers are all living in our properties.

If you have problems..Put them on a boat and send them away......Seems to be a Cypriot thing...... ......The UK deals with the issues but the Cypriots just get rid of it.......I wonder what would happen if the tourists knew that....
