Land vs Turkish Cypriots?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Im sure GCs wouldnt be happy if 500k Pontians moved to Cyprus. Greek they may be but Cypriots they most certainly are not!
Its the Cypriots who know and love their country more than anyone. When you give people who have no attachment to the place the power to decide its future then youre asking for trouble.
There has to be a balance and a limit!

You mean 10 times more 'happy" compared with the 50K we have now?

If you dont abide by that concept there will be troublke down the road. The whole point of a peace plan it to prevent and avoid trouble.

Totally agree Nikitas. My God I swear if they ever again suggest me a solution where the rights of ANY settler precede mine, I will reject it on the spot. The maximum compromise we can ever accept is for some settlers to stay IF TURKEY PAYS ALL THE COSTS FOR REHOUSING THEM.

Most of the settlers should also be given an "immigrant" status instead of a full citizenship

How old are you? some of these settlers were born here and have probably been here longer than you.

What are you talking about... the children of settlers are NOT settlers, do I have to provide a definition of the word? How old are YOU?

they would have to prove their Cypriotness first and then we take it from there...

Another problem will arise is that if they are islamist, it will cause problems...and their alliance will always be with turkey and not the RoC...

I don't see the need to worry about "settlers" . . . we never asked for them, we never helped them to come over to Cyprus.

They are NOT our problem . . . .

Turkey has to accept full responsibility and take them and their descendants back to fill the void I'm sure they left behind!

All I can say is thank god that you people will not get control to be as callus as you seem to be...Still blaming everyone but yourselves. We decide who is and who is not Cypriot in our own republic....Thank you.

45, you?

GCs always want get rid of all settlers irrelevant of whether they have live here all their lives or arrived yesterday.

So following your logic would that mean the children of refugees are no longer refugees?
