Halil we are faced with a similar problems from lack of sanitary controls and measures being practiced in the occupied areas.

Whilst doing the paperwork to bring our dog over to Cyprus we have been warned that various diseases that have been effectively controlled and eradicated by the RoC have now started re-establishing because the Turks are not taking care of basic hygiene measures in the land they occupy by force.

I presume you mean scrapie. This has been a problem for centuries with sheep and goats in nearly every country with the animals (except Australasia). It has nothing to do with Parkinson's, which is not infectious. It is caused by a prion which disrupts the neurological functioning. Apparently an early symptom is the animal scraping itself raw on a rock, presumably due to intense itching, hence the name. It is probably loosely related to BSE and CJD. Nobody knows how the prion is transmitted and it seems to occur spontaneously from time-to-time. As far as is known, it cannot be transmitted to humans.

There is no cure nor any preventive measures except culling infected herds.

Why the ROC government is going to destroy more than one hundred-thousand sheep and goats after the detection of an epidemic disease.

This will increase the meat prices as well.
