Cyprus is an island, the dwellers upon it are Cypriots, and their self representation must include a Unitary State, so that they can stand as equals, and together, working for their own betterment as individuals, and as members of the Family of Man. Two National Assemblies will serve these peoples' needs in their internal affairs, and in sustenance of their societies, as people who are Bi-communal. Each community would be free to fill their needs first while minorities would have respect, and recognition, with means to sustain themselves, and service in their own language.

Nice ideal, but I think that reasonal ideals took a back seat in Cyprus. The animosities are too great to easilly overcome. So short of one side trying to wipe out the other, what can one do?

Its obvious what the GCs want to do. That is for the TCs lie down in the middle of the road, so the GC tanks can roll over them. Its the only thing that will make them happy. They can dream on.

I take offence to this reply...and i thought you were a moderate...a moderate yes, in sheeps clothing perhaps you meant to say...

I still just about see myself as a moderate, but reading all the rhetoric lately makes me see things in a different light. I am now realising what will satisfy most GCs. Whatever they talk about, it still is the subversion of the TC population. Even the king of one man one vote, they will twist to gain their powers of subversion. I would always give peace a chance, but they can keep their terms.

Attitudes such as these will spell problems in the future...

I had never intended to reply to any of your posts, but to question me , first you have to get your facts right, right?

I have not been able to live in my home since 1964, having been kicked out in 1963. I have never been given property in the North, never bought any GC homes in the North, never intend to either. So I could never have sold any GC property on. To me that is criminal and person or persons responsible for selling GC properties on should face criminal justice. It is allegedly against the Northern Cyprus law but has allowed to go on.
Thats all I am willing to discuss with you as all my sentiments have previously been stated by my other 'moderate' friends and find repetition of these statements a tad tedious. I easily lose patience unlike Zan and Piratis.

You are way out of order talking to Deniz like that...He has been the only voice of reason on this Forum and indeed a moderate. That does not mean that he has to follow the GC propaganda party line though.. He is old enough to have gone through every little bit of the Cyprus problem and has had the unfortunate privilege of living through it. You guys are so convinced that the "RoC" is right and the rest is all wrong that anyone that even takes a sideways glance at you is harassed into submission. Take a look at what happened to us and put that into your equation before you condemn us for the situation as it stands...Did you fight for us when we were forced into 3% of our country and left to rot.......That is what the "RoC' is built on and you have the cheek to tell us we are sitting on your property.....We have no property to return to...It was either burned down by the village load or appropriated by by the "RoC" to build on.
