Unification- The Only Way

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby utu » Wed Oct 10, 2007 12:58 am

Unification is dependent on both sides having a desire to unite. Given what has happened since 1963, is that desire still present? That is the question.

An occasional laugh, an informal get together of TC/ GC members now and then can only help VP. We are always arguing, insulting and hurting one another on the forum. A bit of fun and bonding surely cant hurt us, can it?

Anyway I'm playing safe mate. If one day there is change in the balance of power and we are all at risk of some form of retaliation, attack and possible physical harm do you think GR will hurt me? or allow others like Piratis, Kifeas or Sotos to hurt me. I'm no fool, I know what side my bread is buttered on

I think you might want to befriend Kifeas if you need a body guard kardesim........GR verses Kifeas...I know who my money is on...

If it came to that I would try to psychologically manipulate Kifeas to take his own life...

I'd say it's more a case of international law because you'll find thousands of people from all around the world who would jump at the opportunity if they could to grab a portion of their country because they are at odds with its government or whatever but luckily the world doesn't usually work like that... the huff and puff of what's easy to say is still in bloom.

what is natural beyond a Green Line includes free association, as well as free movement, and expression.

Cyprus is an island, the dwellers upon it are Cypriots, and their self representation must include a Unitary State, so that they can stand as equals, and together, working for their own betterment as individuals, and as members of the Family of Man. Two National Assemblies will serve these peoples' needs in their internal affairs, and in sustenance of their societies, as people who are Bi-communal. Each community would be free to fill their needs first while minorities would have respect, and recognition, with means to sustain themselves, and service in their own language.

Why just from 1963? We have been fighting with the Turks since the first invaded our island back in 1571.

We are ready to leave the past behind and move ahead with human rights for all, and democracy with no kind of racist discriminations.

If the Turks are not ready for the same then the only alternative we have is to fight the invadors and liberate our country, so we should be preparing for that.

Nice ideal, but I think that reasonal ideals took a back seat in Cyprus. The animosities are too great to easilly overcome. So short of one side trying to wipe out the other, what can one do?

Its obvious what the GCs want to do. hat is for the TCs lie down in the middle of the road, so the GC tanks can roll over them. Its the only thing that will make them happy. They can dream on.

I take offence to this reply...and i thought you were a moderate...a moderate yes, in sheeps clothing perhaps you meant to say...

Just think Rwanda were 1 million people perished and the country is still together...but its ok...you tcs are the chosen ones...gods gift to mankind...

Just on the sideline, perhaps the whole population should have been behind the coup in 74 and perhaps today you could been living in Turkey...
