Just to highlight the dangers of unification and what some GCs think of us Turkish Cypriots and our language, I believe this is worth it's own thread.

What I meant to ask, further to Piratis' post is:

Is Greek taught in your schools?

If you find the Turkish Language offensive why should the Turks not feel the same in the North?

Because Deniz . . . the Greek language was predominant on the island when you Turks chose to Invade us . . . so you couldn't have found it so repugnant otherwise you would have stayed away.

For me the use of Turkish on Cyprus is a constant reminder of the invaders and their presence.

I say do away with the contaminating Turkish language.

So, care to answer the question so that we may know how well you are educating the next generation of Huns?

This is what awaits TCs in a unified Cyprus.

Do you still want to unify and live with these people who hate you and your language?

May we never see the day when we have to be second class citizens to these sort of racist people who would eliminate us without hesitation just because we are Turkish Cypriots.

Thank God we have our own country and are safe with the Turkish Army watching over us.

Paliometoxo, even though I sympathise with your anger and frustration due to the fact that this forum has been infested with various dirty nationalist Turks, which are all products of exported kemalism in Cyprus (you know the slogan –part of Kemal’s so called six arrow ideology, “one nation, one language, one flag” –and now “one religion” too, thanks to Abdullah Gul;) still, to be truly regarded a Hellene in its proper sense, you should educate yourself as one! It is far beyond the ideals of Hellenism (the civilisation movement that has given the world the meanings and foundations of reason, philosophy, democracy, tolerance, arts, Olympic spirit, sciences and ethics,) to have produced descendants of your kind who resort to such primitive and barbaric nationalist slogans, such as “a good Turk is a dead Turk!” It is one thing to want to be confronted with chauvinist Turks or TCs such as Eric Dayi, on an individual level, and another thing to generalise in such a foolish way! In my book, you cannot possibly be regarded a Greek, if this is how you think and practice, and you should stop claiming to be one!
