When was the "TC community" created in Cyprus?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Is this what they teach you at schools?

The reason I ask these questions is that I see a lot of inconsistencies. For example you refer to the Ottomans as being some others, VP is telling us that TCs were once the rulers of Cyprus, in the article you gave is mentioned that about 40.000 Ottoman soldiers that invaded Cyprus "formed the original nucleus of the fledgling Turkish-Cypriot community", and yet other times TCs claim no relation to those Ottomans and their crimes against Cypriots.

Of course all that history would be irrelevant if we had all agreed that regardless of what happened in the past, today we should create a normal democratic Cyprus without racist descriminations.

However the TCs are trying to blame GCs because of what a tiny minority of GCs did in the past, totally forgetting their own share in the crimes during the exact same period, and that the "nucleus of the Turkish-Cypriot community" was formed by those soldiers that butchered 10s of thousands of Cypriots.

So I find it highly hypocritical from those TCs that reject the proposal to leave the past behind and finally have democracy with no racist discriminations, and are instead stuck in the past claiming that more or less they have been the innocent victims(!!!) and we are the evils(!!!) and that gives them the right to violate our human and democratic rights today and in the future.

And this from a man that divides his own sinful past from EOKA A to EOKA B and from Greeks to Greek Cypriots.........Pre 1074, which he wants us to forget and 1974 and after that he will not forget.......Physician heal thy self.........

No Zan, I do not make such divisions. Everything from our side is very clear.

Unlike you I simply condemn the actions of those few GCs that acted wrongly. Basically just EOKA B and a few more extremists.
When did you condemn any of your 100 times more and worst criminal acts against us?

Also I see the whole history. If you want we can start right from 1571 and the actions of "the nucleus of the Turkish-Cypriot community", right until 2007 and the illegal Turkish occupation, and leave nothing behind.
Would you like that? Or maybe you choose to remember only 11 out of the 436 years that we lived together on this island, and not only forget everything that happened before and after that decade, but also forget your own crimes during that exact same decade?

Also I am very clear about our history, and who we are. If you don't know ask me, and I will answer you in a very direct and clear way, not like you, who is trying to avoid the questions because a clear answer doesn't suit you as you like to switch between "rulers of Cyprus" and "nothing to do with the crimes of Ottomans" as it suits you.

Now back to the topic. If you have a look at Halil's link you will notice that they teach the TCs CYPRUS HISTORY. Not 'trnc" history but CYPRUS HISTORY. That's a plus.
Second plus: The books show Cyprus as a whole. NOT DIVIDED.

The books were obviously written in Cyprus by TCs unlike most of the books they get from Turkey.

I don't think there is even one TC person in this forum who got his history education according to those books. (Perhaps Shah might have, I am not sure)

About the question whether the TCs celebrate the 1571 date, well you all know the Bayraktar mosque on the walls of Nicosia was built to commemorate that date when the Ottoman flag was raised there in 1571. That's where Denktash planted his first bomb to initiate violence. So I guess most propably that date must be important and celebrated by the TCs...
