Ok its only a couple of beers, but after two weeks here I am my wits end as to where in Nicosia can I get a card for my satellite reciever that allows me to view normal enlish language movies, sports, news etc.

It seems nobody wants my money

The websites I have seen and thus sent quiries too basically only seem interested in helping if I need to buy a dish and a receiver.

So now desperate I am, I beg for your help in my divine search for TV heaven.

I have all these remotes and cant do what I have been doing for many years. I am sure all you guys out there can fully appreciate my dilema.

Having been through this dilemma the best way is to pretend that your address is a relatives and all you need is a viewing card, (they know of course but 27% of SKY subscription is outside the UK) and you do not have access to a telephone line (or they want to set it up for you at your pretend house). Arrange the DD through a UK bank and away you go.

SKY only has the licence to operate in the UK so cannot be seen to endorse this but would lose a huge amount of business if they didn't!

Having a card and a receiver is not enough. Without a sufficient size dish you'll get nothing. Sky need a dish of 1.8m to 4.2m. If you're not bothered with BBC, ITV etc then a 1.8 will get you the sports and movies.
