Spots from Northern Cyprus.

Postby halil » Mon Oct 08, 2007 12:57 pm

Nowadays things are not going bad in the Northern Cyprus but obviously they are not good also. While everybody is interested in their airs and graces, money is rapidly changing hands.
Here the houses are very attractive. You can always buy a house for YTL 300,000. If you want a house with a sea view and high tech amenities the price goes up. People are especially interested in buying Turkish-deed real estates (real estates which had registered Turkish deeds dated prior to the 1974 Turkish military operation.) Contractors recently coming from Turkey are especially interested in building houses on these lands. :?: :?:

For the 200,000 population of northern Cyprus there are exactly 125,000 registered cars. :!: :!: :!:
Although it is early October, holiday resorts are still full. But prices are much lower compared to the peak season. During this season you can see many British pensioners vacationing here. The average tourist age is not younger than 60 years old. They are very disciplined. They go to dinner at exactly 7 o'clock and leave an hour later. The same routine goes for breakfast and lunch. :!: :) :) :)

The 6th International Olive Festival which has been organized traditionally by the Girne(Kyrenia ) Municipality is continuing with various events. :!:

The 5th International Gazimagusa Symposium begins today. The Symposium entitled Medi-Triology: Coastal Settlements – Culture and Conservation in the Mediterranean Basin is jointly organized by the Gazimagusa Municipality and the Eastern Mediterranean University- Faculty of Architecture.

Researchers from Turkey, Italy, Britain, Iran, Bahrain, Lebanon, Slovakia as well as Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will participate in the 3-day symposium during which 74 papers and 25 posters will be presented.
Two best papers selected will be published in the December edition of the ‘Open House International’ magazine.
The symposium aims to draw attention to the importance of the balance between conservation and development in the coastal settlements within the Mediterranean basin as the economic, social and cultural development remain crucial for the sustenance of coastal areas. :!: :!: :!:

USA promises conditional support to Turkish Cypriots. İf you continue to be one step ahead, we will support any efforts to remove the embargoes. :!: :!: :!: :?: :?: :?:

EU aid to Turkish Cypriots reaches 14.5 million euros in 2006-2007. :!:

Well doesn't it all sound Hanky-Dory in Never-Never Land

So tell me Halil, where do you hide those eye-sores, the 40, 000 Barbarian Turkish troops that are there to keep our people from their homes?

Are they in your brochures????

But that's the whole point of a forum. It's a web based discussion board. You can't just post stuff then refuse to discuss it. :?

Halil, I'm happy that everything is thriving in the "TRNC", not only for your well-being but also because this proves beyond any reasonable doubt that all those embargo and isolation stories are all fabricated.

Thanks for the confirmation.
