A key setup to repeat a given task is called a "macro" Eric and has nothing to do with computer programming.

Here we go, dummy GR is telling us what a dummy he is. Oh boy, you really do not know anything GR, do you?

You really are clueless boy.

I know nothing about computers but where do macros come from???

If you have one of them fancy keyboards with spare "programmable" keys then the act of ASSIGNING a task to that key is called a macro.

The key performs a "macro" or REPEATED PRESELECTED ACTION such as inserting your name and address, or launching the Internet, etc.

How does the key know to do that???? :?

Excellent question zan. Can't wait for the computer "experts" reply.
