I'm not sure what the official currency is of the Akrotiri & Dhekelia Sovereign Base Areas is,but I can guess that it is the good old Pound Sterling.

As ignorant as ever. You claim to be a numismatist yet you know nothing about the currencies of Cyprus or the world. Firstly, the EUR is worth ~40% more than the USD. Secondly, the CYP and EUR are not legal tender in the occupied part of the island: if someone accepts them for payment, it is on a forex basis, the same as some shops in NZ may accept US dollar bills (at a cost!), as a convenience for the customer. And your guess is wrong. The CYP is the currency of the SBAs.
Your knowledge of our currencies is as good as your knowledge of catholicism and sexuality. So why don't you shut up?
