BCN ~~

I get the distinct impression that you think we are all pretty thick in Cyprus and obviously reading your posts that you also think we have never heard of the Euro before.

I don't know what your agenda is on this forum as up to now all you have done is shown your hatred of gays and catholics and pointed out the painfully obvious facts about the Euro .

It seems that you have absolutely no knowledge of Cyprus ~ especially when you think that there is a different official language in Cyprus .

Cypriot people do speak in a Cypriot dialect to each other in Cyprus ( I would call it a lazy and bastardised Greek ) BUT written and spoken Greek is taught in schools and spoken on TV and radio ~ except of course for the soaps / serials depicting village life where the Cypriot dialect is often used.

Lets hope your posts improve in content without the apparent hatred you have shown so far to certain religions and people that have different sexual views to your self.~~ It's not big and certainly not clever ~
it merely points out how ignorant you are

Bill, you are not quite correct in this.

First of all, all languages are "bastardized", since they borrow words one from another. Any linguist will tell you that language is something "live" and constantly evolving due to many internal and external factors.

Cypriot Greek is just a Greek dialect which actually is closer to the ancient Greek than the mainland Greek dialects, and this is due to the fact that Cyprus is far from mainland Greece and the language here did not evolve as fast. Still if you go to other Greek islands like Crete and Rhodos you will find that the Greek dialects they speak there are much closer to the Cypriot one rather than the mainland one.

Cypriot Greek is just a spoken dialect and can not be written, so Cypriots write the same Greek as everybody else.

Bill, what is wrong with posting up the link to the Cypriot Government's official Euro changeover website? It is beneficial for those who are planning to visit Cyprus in the next few weeks before the Cypriot Pound finally passes into history.

As for hating faggots & Romish Catholics, there's nothing wrong with that,as a majority of Pope Bentdick's priests are bigoted Hell-bound faggots anyway. The Cult of Rome has caused a lot of trouble, especially in both Ireland & Ulster.No-one knows how much money is tied up in property that is owned by the Vatican.
