Your name for the wall (The Circumcision Wall) reminded me of an article I read years ago at my London barber while waiting for a hair cut. It was in Penthouse or Playboy and it was titled the "Circumcision Controversy". It covered the pros and cons, arguments by experts (there are experts in all subjects!) and there was no final conclusion, which today reminds me of the Cyprob and gives added prestige to your choice of name!
Would the name be Sunneti Wall (cant remember the actual word but sounds like it) or given the Israeli investment in the north it could be the Barmitzvah Barrier (i like the alliteration) ?
Since we are on anecdotes, did you hear this one. It involves the red or black cap with a long tassle worn by the Evzones?
It was agreed that to modernise the Ottoman Army, they needed also to modernise the dress/uniform code. So it was suggested they adopt the Greek head dress instead of the Turban. Allegedly one of the misisters objected and reportedly said "how dare you suggest we wear a 'Greek' cap?( the word used was not so complimentary, I must add.) The suggestor of the idea allegedly stated that it was easy, 'all you have to do is circumcise the long tassle and the Ottoman Army will wear it with pride'. Hence the Turkish Fez was 'born'. It seems the Greeks turn up everywhere.
