Well, one could also completely 'Cypriot-ize' the island: that is for all residents to renounce and revoke allegiences to any other country, and for a single official language. If one must think of oneself as Cypriot, then that should be it... period!

Anyone who still thinks that a political arrangement based on ethnic origin is a solution to the Cyprus problem hasn't learned anything all these decades and your fervent support of such an arrangement is further testimony that it ensures partition.

i have to agree with you zurich agreement is and always will be the single most dangerous document for peace in cyprus, since it was decided and drafted by outsiders it should be torn up and we should have new constetution, thats fare to all cypriots anyone who is a cypriot should be able to run for goverment . .............................but we must break of diplomatic relations with greece and turkey for ay least fifty years so us cypriots can determine our own independence , aslo cyprus should not have any army, it should be a neutural island

Maybe that was what was necessary back then to stop your intention of giving Cyprus to Greece and to ensure the representation and exsistence of the TC community.

With an imbalance of 80% GC racists, people who discriminated against its own people what do you expect? giving them a free hand to gift Cyprus to Greece which would have meant an end to TCs.

You still do not comprehend what I am saying, the people in general have no problem on a one to one basis but ask them to vote for a TC president the GCs become ultra racist and vote for all and any GC alternative, with 80% in your favor we dont stand a chance in hell of getting into power thats why you have to a structure to insure we get a look in..
