That last post is a gem! From 14000 down to a few hundred and that is the only explanation you can think of. My friend F. lived in Karpasi, he left to have his foot fixed in the south and was never allowed to return to his land.
These incidental things are real gems.
I do not know if what DT has written above is true, that inheritance of land is not allowed for Greeks in the Karpasia area. So far there has been nothing to contradict it. The whole thing is Imvros and Tenedos all over, typical mainland Turkish technique. I like to think that no Cypriots would ever behave this way.
SO is there or is there not discrimination against Karpasia Greeks?

Are you happy for those that are in Karpaz to remain?Oh please Mehmet, lets not ask anything from VP, because he won't be able to tell the truth to save his own life.!!!
I had hoped since he was so keen to ask why Greek speakers don't come to the north he might have an explanation for why a population of 20,000 who didn't ask to leave after the Turkish army arrived are not there any longer. Perhaps he could explain the positive steps the TRNC is making to allow Greek speaking Cypriots to do what he is asking for them to do.

As for my Armenian friend. He is apparently now in Romania making lots of money on cheap labour. I did drive down his old road and bumped into a neighbour of his who said he could get me a number but has not done so.
As for my GC friend, I did all I could to find out if his lawyers were up to the job and was assured by a barrister friend that they are a good firm. As you asked...I am now paying £300 a term to keep his two daughters swimming. At least they can have some normality in their lives even if their parents are going mad with worry. This sum might change soon because the swimming club have offered to help.

Jesus Christ, a Blind leading a Blind, VP and Zan.
Come on Zan, it was you then T_C followed your faulty lead until I gave him the exact location and address, in which he shut up. Don't make me dig it out for you, because you know that I can.
My style of writing changes all the time. It all depends how much English or American I want to add into my writing....so no lies there Zan.
I'm glad to hear that you are helping out your GC friend. You do have a heart sometimes...it's just that, it is difficult to find it most of the time.
