I asked a simple question- where and when was the ENOSIS slogan written on the mountain? Which mountain?

I was in Cyprus recently, and because of my job I look at mountains and plant life very carefully. I scanned the horizon all around Nicosia and did not see the ENOSIS slogan. So WHERE IS IT?

By the way, do any of you here know what birds used to nest on Pendadaktylos and now do not because there is so much disturbance by all kinds of people who quarry rocks and cut wood for charcoal?

Being an Apoel fan has taught me to never forget I'm a Greek Cypriot. Proud of his Hellenic ethnicity and extremely proud of his Cypriot State. And I wouldn't care if my flag was designed by a 3-legged Albanian, if it represents my country I'm proud of it.

Hey Nikitas, as far as I know the flag was an answer to the "Enosis" that GCs had written up on the mountains.

I notice that none of you know where that ENOSIS slogan is carved into the mountain. Is that because no one has seen it? Because it is worn off, wiped off, not there in the first place? How can something that big, in a place as small as Cyprus not be visible to the people who drive by it every day?

I can safely tell you that upon zooming in on this picture it still spells "Enosis" :wink:

we know what it spells, where it is we cannot tell. Can this be seen all the way from Stavrovounis 45 kilometers away? Can you see it when you zoom in from Google Earth? It looks like a typical military camp slogan from the 60s as it is in the picture.
