feel free to hate me and dispise me ... i am Greek cypriot and proud .. i and 1000s like me ,respect and rever both our flags ... my students know our history unlike most of you morons on the forum who live everywhere but cyprus ... everyone whom i have met on this forum so far is clueless about cyprus and its people ...

Isrealis do more time and in worse conditions and under threat of kidnap.fire etc ...and they understand a sense of duty and understand why ... i served in the royal marines and saw action 22 times over 10 years ...my training was harder than yours ...i dont complain but it allowed me to become more aware and patient with people (like you)
since you have right wing /conservative views .. you should not be knocking the Greek flag i have but talking to me about why ...could i be hiding some pain ...did i witness something ...am i the guy ,who is interviewing the widows of fallen soldiers ..is it me who wants to learn about his own history first hand ......what have i experienced .that makes me want to hold this flag over the cypriot ...?

Just to get back to the point (no pun intended) I'm married to a Greek from Athens who gets really narked when Cypriots "play" at being Greek. Yes, before you start, your language may be Greek, your religion Greek but you are born and raised in an independant country. Greek did occupy Cyprus centuries ago, but so did half of Europe and the Middle East. Cyprus was offered to Greece in the early part of the last century and they did not want it. Cyprus is not like Crete. It is totally stand alone. Get over it and be proud. That's the one point where you differ so widely from Greeks...........you are not proud of YOUR OWN COUNTRY!!!!!!!!

my father side of the family are from Greece ,,,some Greek cypriots in famagusta area desend from greece some (figure in the 100s ) came here in mid 1800s
