Will it be the "RoC" that is isolated

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Time to move on and embrace your Turkishness and be proud Turkish Cypriots not just Cypriots for the sake of osmosis which GCs see as the natural process, you can all see we are wasting our time trying to negotiate with these people they only want one thing a GC state where you are a minority like the Indians in the UK, reduced to foreigner status in your own country. For non recognition is a state of mind, what we have to do i think positive, we have our own country and if the price to pay id non recognition and being Turkish as well as Cypriot I am will to pay that price ten times over as the alternative is with people who are like people on this forum is unthinkable.

Hear, hear VP.

These fools think that just because they got into the EU they are getting all the benefits of being recognised but fail to see the that the EU is just stringing them along and keeping them under their control. They are just too dumb to realise what really is going on.

For over 40 years they have been crying their eyes out, paying millions to foreign politicians, helping Presidents to be elected who promise them the moon and what do they get for it? Every now and then some never heard of before unknown politician in the USA or EU stands up and say "Oh yes, we think Cyprus should be unified" and sits down again and the GCs think "hooray, we won because we have everyone on our side".

What have they won?

Is the island united?

Is the Turkish army out?

Is the KKTC still there?

The only thing they can boast about is "but we are recognised and in the EU".......wooopppeeedoooooo........but what's the price they are paying for it?

The island is still divided. :D

The Turkey Army is still there protecting the Turkish Cypriots. :D

And the KKTC is still there. :D

Yep, I am willing to pay the price of being Turkish as well as Cypriot I am willing to pay that price ten times over as the alternative is living with people who are like people on this forum is unthinkable.

But hang on a minute VP............We are Turkish as well as Cypriots.......We have our own country and separated from racist people like the people in this forum........so what price are we paying?

I agree with you Cartman..You deserve everything you get over there at Disneyland.

Eric the price is not having direct post or not having direct flights or not being able to play with a foreign football team, so what, its all a state of mind and GCs play on this to try and make us feel like we are missing out on something. If that was the case TCs would have flocked south to share this wonderland called recognition. After the initial intrigue no one gives a shit about what goes on in the south even the workers come home after a hard days graft to the TRNC, where they belong.

Sod it all, so we don't have 3 cars to ever home or 1 less flat screen TV, so bloody what at least we don't have to put up with GCs tell us what to do in a GC state.

what is the min wage in the UK Zan...here is about AUS$20 per hr, like in factories and waiters...an electrician, trades people, get min AUS$100 per hr...

If you are not getting that you are getting ripped off...time to migrate...

Dont laugh.....£4.50 an hour (I think...Or there abouts)

I am not laughing, having heard the cost in London is astronomical...But 4.50/hr...that would make it just under AUS$3 to the pound...ouch what do you live on?

But in the other hand let me give you another point of view...it makes you work on standard rather than price...we are a service economy and we demand the damn service...I am sure as a tradesman you had referals...and you charged a little higher because your job stands out...This brings back to you getting the job, charging higher, because you provided a better service...I can give you examples of waiters, casino dealers that make you happy parting with money in Vegas, with an hourly rate of, and don't laugh, around US$4 per hr...purelly surviving of the best...Also nothing wrong with this...why carry dead weight around...

anyway enough the politics money depresses me...

Don't get me wrong...I don't work for that measly amount  As you said...I provide a good service and that is what gives me the right to command top money. I get a good sum for what I do and to be honest with you I earn more now than I did when I had 7 people working for me. It did mean that I did not work for 6 months out of one year but they soon realised what they had let themselves in for and saw me as a bargain. I am not saying that all the cheep labour is bad because there were very good trades men from abroad but as soon as they had established themselves, they asked for top dollar and then stretched themselves too much...That is where I came back in.

They gave it a good go didn't they but where did it get them?

The TCs have learned to get on with their lives and that it's a hell of a lot safer in an unrecognised TRBC then living in a "recognised RoC" as second class citizens and looked on as "foreigners" and just tolerated.

even the workers come home after a hard days graft to the TRNC, where they belong.

And spend their earnings in the KKTC.

Exactly mate, so what? At least no one is starving or living in caves or tents like we were forced to from 1963 to 1974 when the GCs were murdering our people for their ENOSIS dream.

The GCs think that just by dangling the "recognition" carrot in front of us we would drop everything and allow ourselves to be "assimilated" into a Greek Cypriot and consequently into a Greek society.

Absolutly right VP and if you can find me a little farmhouse in the mountains at an affordable price they can even have the TV back as well

But as a matter of principle we can still fight for what is rightfully ours.

I know just the spot looking onto the sea, you will love it...zan no matter what these fanatics say we will never give up our fight to have the right to live how we wish with being ruled by GCs, whether I want to assimilate into Turkey is my business, whether I want to live in "poverty" is my business and no one elses. The GCs can "avcunu yalasın" as they had their chance in 1960 and again in 2004...viva la TRNC and all who live there, continue to eat drink and be merry.
