It's more analogous to two card sharks playing poker with each other bringing their own fixed decks of cards...

Can't disagree with that...At least we are on equal terms in that respect.

Today after haviing spent 6 weeks in uk for a holiday have arrive back in cy.. in the airoplane today i was sat next to this guy who has been in uk for many years...

he started to tell me about the war and the turkish... he is a 63 year old who was capured by the turks and held in a hotel in the north he was saying for interigation... for a 4 hour plus 1 hour delay trip in the plane

he was a very nice guy from lemesos. he said all the people from lemesos in 1963 where killing turks

then in the invasion because he had 3 kids and was married he was not asked to do army... so

he was in the north being held by turks.. they took him with hand cuffs and put the gun on the table, took the handcuffs off and he said they asked a lot of questions regarding who he is and if he is army and they where going to beat him badly like the others.

he also told me the turk savilians turned into police also but the army when they interigated them they asked them whoa re you with makarios or sampson... he said those who answerd sampson had tables smashe don their faces and beaten up very badly... and he was asked this question

he said even if he answerd makarios they would of done the same.. aparantly he answerd he does not follow politics.. smart answer

he also said the turks where going to greek school and speaking greek like a greek with no accent and could tell who is from greece and cyprus, aparantly they where beating up people from greece more because they are from the motherland and hwo the turks where hanging the people from the chrcuh he was very lucky to have escaped

he was saying people thing the turks are stupid but they are not they are very cleaver. the only thing is they lie all the time they say one thing and do another which is exactly what they do....

it was intresting sitting next to this guy he had alot to say being alive and having been captured by turks and managed to escape if he was a army man they would of killed him for sure

i hope i meet the guy again.. he is in lemesos then going to come to nicosia to strovolos

The problem is that the GCs have raised the stake by using blackmail and also threatening to kill us TCs if we do not agree to play with their fixed cards and let them win the pot. As has happened to Expatkiwi and myself.

Eric dayi,

I'm well-aware that the tactics used against expatkiwi - regardless of whether he was right or wrong in his postings - crossed the line. I'm also aware that emotions on the Cyprus issue do run high. Little wonder why the situation hasn't changed much since 1963...

I am actually surprised that nothing was done about it by the Admin of CF or at least nothing was made public.

And it never will, simple reason for that is that the GCs hate for anything Turkish will never change.

Well there is one thing that has united most of us on this forum. We all believe Eric is a paranoid racist.
