Miltiades my friend. Can you please enlighten me on only one point.

If the 'clients' held in Guantanemo are guilty as you charge them, why not take them to the USof A and put them in the dock, with all their proofs. We all like justice. For me, justice means a fair trial. If they have no proof then.......................

Deniz , the thousands that perished on 9/11 did not have a fair trial . The prisoners held at QB were combatants fighting along terrorists.

Martianides miltiades, you are back harping on the same old nonsense, you have lost your credibility as far as this particular topic is concerned, no amount of abuse will restore it.

I suggest you retreat, lick your wounds and remain quiet for a while, DO try to familiarize yourself with facts in connection with any further posts you reply to, you may save face a little if you do so.

I notice you have decided against answering the questions put to you, nothing unusual there then.

Perhaps you should revert to your old style of using filthy language whenever you were cornered, at least you were amusing then, now, you are just a pain in the Arse.

In my humble opinion Sir.

Time to call the men with the white jackets with long sleeves that tie at the back I think.

NUUUUUURSE!

Why don't you just admit that because of your hate all Muslims, guilty or innocent, must pay for what happened on 9/11.

Interment by the English during the troubles in Ireland was something that my Father was incensed about. He said "being an Irish Catholic means you're guilty regardless". No-one should be locked up for those amounts of time without due process of charges being brought, and then within a reasonable time, a FAIR and unbiased trial - whether in Ireland or Guantamano. I didn't agree or support the terrible IRA bombings, but neither did I support the awful, awful, things that happened to the Irish by the english either. Its being able to see both sides again, without blind rage and hatred.

tessintrnc, you are absolutely right in your assessment of the manner in which the problems of Ireland were sometimes dealt with (particularly in the cases of internment).

The British were quite capable of atrocities in the times of the struggle for freedom, the opposing forces, duly named 'Terrorists' but actually men willing to die for their beliefs, had no alternative but to adopt guerrilla tactics since they were ill-equipped to face the might of the British Army.

Similar situation in Iraq actually, I expect I will now be tagged as an I.R.A. fanatic along with the other titles bestowed on me by our 'Know Nothing' old friend.

The ability to observe and draw conclusions WITHOUT the influence of the media (who are controlled by the politicians) is something to be rather pleased with, it does not mean that you agree with what is happening, it means that you realize that there must be a reason for it, THAT is where the ability to understand both sides becomes useful.

I know (from some of your other posts) that you are a person WITH such capabilities and I admire you for it.

Best Wishes to you and God Bless you. :)

All of your posts so far have been heavy laden with crap. Every time you open your mouth it sets your rear passage into a rhythmic action .
You are not even capable of understanding what I post. Let me repeat foreigner :
Neither the G/Cs or the T/Cs should fly foreign flags.
Again I refuse to dissacociate my self from something with which I have never been associated with, therefore the bullshit you post about me I flash down the toilet Gringo.

Martianides miltiades, I must confess that you have me in stitches over your latest comments.

At 4.33 pm you wrote :- "Cypriots fly neither Greek flags nor Turkish flags"

At 7.20 pm (subsequent to delivering your usual insult) you declare that Eric dayi is incapable of understanding what you post and deliver more insult, THEN,

You change your statement to :- "Neither the G/Cs or the T/Cs should fly foreign flags"

Of course you end with yet another insult, which begs the question, "Are you alright Sir?"

I hope nobody else notices your rapid change of statement, I won't say anything.

Eliko wrote:Filitsa, is it possible that the words of the president have been mis-interpreted ?, I would read his comment as 'A Comparison' rather than an actual statement of fact.

Perhaps he was pointing out that the levels of tolerance towards such issues as homosexuality are less than in Western nations.

Certainly there are vast differences in the way crime and (what the Iranians perceive to be) decent standards of moral conduct, between Iran and the Western nations are viewed.

Why do we of the West, constantly bombard other nations with our opinions on how they should conduct themselves?, surely we are very poor examples for those nations to follow, we cannot (seemingly) control our own standards, it is hardly fair to impose our will on others.

President Ahmedinejad is being presented to us (through the media) as some kind of village idiot, he is a leader of a mighty nation, what he does in his own country is his business, if he wishes to make comparisons, he is as entitled to do so as we are.

OR, should we just attack him now, in the hope that such an act will encourage other nations to join forces against him and save us from the gigantic 'TRAP' we have snared ourselves in by attacking Iraq?.

Seems to me that THAT may be the only option since the Southern part of Iraq (the escape route) is now seriously dominated by the Mahdi Army.

In my humble opinion.

Interesting, Eliko. I am of the same interpretation as you.

Following President Ahmadinejad's speech at Columbia University, headlines such as the title of this thread appeared in many newspapers across the country. I'm cynical where the media is concerned, so I read further to find the actual quote of the President. Like you, I recognized the possibility that he was making a comparison between Iran and the U.S. regarding the issue of how each country handles the issue of homosexuality. I don't believe that he was denying that homosexuals exist in Iran. Perhaps something was lost in the translation. Nevertheless, the media had a field day with it.

Einstein , your English is fluent , not that I really care what the hell you think , but just to clarify what I said here it is. Just to make easy for your tired brain , what it means boy is this. Eric flies the Turkish flag therefore to me he is a foreigner , just as if a G/C does , and many in the past did on this forum , therefore his claim that he is a Cypriot is not valid because , Einstein , "" Cypriots neither fly Greek flags nor Turkish flags ""
THIS WAS MY POST >
"""""""As far as Eric's' claim that he is a Cypriot , I refute that , he is a foreigner .
"""Cypriots neither fly Greek flags nor Turkish flags ""

Clear now boy ?
