Militiades,
I was a bit confused as to what you were saying in your post - were you saying that those imprisoned in Guantanamo were "the sworn enemies of the civilized world" ?

Filitsa wrote:Okay, I was being provocative. Truth is President Ahmadinejad said, "In Iran, we don't have homosexuality like you do in the United States." What do you think he meant by this?

Filitsa, is it possible that the words of the president have been mis-interpreted ?, I would read his comment as 'A Comparison' rather than an actual statement of fact.
Perhaps he was pointing out that the levels of tolerance towards such issues as homosexuality are less than in Western nations.
Certainly there are vast differences in the way crime and (what the Iranians perceive to be) decent standards of moral conduct, between Iran and the Western nations are viewed.
Why do we of the West, constantly bombard other nations with our opinions on how they should conduct themselves?, surely we are very poor examples for those nations to follow, we cannot (seemingly) control our own standards, it is hardly fair to impose our will on others.
President Ahmedinejad is being presented to us (through the media) as some kind of village idiot, he is a leader of a mighty nation, what he does in his own country is his business, if he wishes to make comparisons, he is as entitled to do so as we are.
OR, should we just attack him now, in the hope that such an act will encourage other nations to join forces against him and save us from the gigantic 'TRAP' we have snared ourselves in by attacking Iraq?.
Seems to me that THAT may be the only option since the Southern part of Iraq (the escape route) is now seriously dominated by the Mahdi Army.
In my humble opinion.

Thanks for clarifying. It is as I feared.
You might want to ask yourself a few questions before you rush to condemn all those (illegally) imprisoned in Guantanamo.
How do you know that they have killed ?
How do you know that they were 'followers of bin Laden' ?
How do you know that they are the 'sworn enemies of civilisation' ?
How do you know what, if any, charges have been laid against them ?
How do you know that they are guilty of any charges laid against them ?
How do you know why they are detained ?
Since a large proportion of those detained at Guantanamo are unable to answer these questions themselves, their defence lawyers are unable to answer these questions, even the Department of Defence is unable to answer these questions, it strikes me as demonical that you can be so sure in your judgement of the Guantanamo detainees. Put bluntly, you haven't got a clue what you are talking about but this doesn't stop you making life and death judgements on people you know nothing about.
Doubtless the irony of your own words - "I detest all those who commit premeditated murders against innocent civilians , their actions are obscene , uncivilized and barbaric" - will be lost on you; words which apply with shocking accuracy to the US agencies that opened, operated and supplied Guantanamo with its hapless victims. And words which report accurately on your own approach to this question.
I suggest that you at least take a look at the following so that you temper the ignorance produced terror which you would have visited on innocents around the world :
