The sacrifices they are prepared to go through to protect the hive / colony, cannot be understood by us in the West for whom individuality (read selfishness) is the prime reason for existing. :(

Phoenix, that is an excellent analogy, I wonder if such a simple comparison will register with those who seem unable to see farther than the end of their noses.

Of course to protect the Hive/Colony, Blow it up, then blame someone else, sound thinking except for one major thing, These attrocities are for the most part from a terrorist organisation outside Iraq as well as neighbouring states. so typical with their "I'll fight to the last drop of your blood" mentality.
If your mate Adolph had managed to invade Englnad do you think our answer would be to go down to the market every Friday and blow up a few dozen of our countrymen/women/children? your nazi mates would have been queueing up to see the Friday bombings and awarding points for skill and content, I can just imagine it, 6/4, 5/4, 10/4(Himmler), 4/4, 6/4, 10/10(Eliko).

You're just jealous 'cos Eliko praised my analogy.

I can come up with more ...

Lemmings!

No seriously ...... kin-selection theory, a favourite amongst Evolutionists, can be applied effectively here too.

Eliko ..... what do I get for that one?

Go back to me :D

   Aaaah, Pheonix!

Eliko, nope not the wrong thread. There was a third female suicide bomber today (It's still Friday here) who brought along her young child to detonate the bomb (my earlier post). She was referred to as a "would-be suicide bomber" because her plan went awry.

Filitsa, sorry for my error, I was not aware of the third person involved as there was no mention of it in our press, I dare say that such a matter as you have indicated would not be so news-worthy as the reaction to it would create less impact on the public.

Such an omission is indicative of the reason for the opening of this topic, there has been scant coverage on Iraq (in comparison to what was available prior to the election campaigns) in the press, I wondered why.

No need to apologize, Eliko.

Having a child of my own, such news impacts me. I tried to envision myself instructing my child to detonate the bomb and couldn't get beyond the trauma it would cause him, let alone what would become of him since no one could possibly nurture him as lovingly as I could. I'd like to think these thoughts crossed her mind too, and that perhaps they are the reason her plan went awry. What becomes of her and her child now?

P.S. I tune into NPR (National Public Broadcasting).
