I respect your right to fight what you believe to be right as well as you see fit to respect mine thank you.

. . . and maybe the world should have respected Hitler's right to fight.

But they didn't . . . and I think you are way out of line if you think opinions on dividing Cyprus and sitting on other people's homes that have been ethnically cleansed by Turkey are acceptable and worth respect.

Do you know anything about my views on refugees and their property rights?

Well just only from a few posts before this one:

....we want to run our own state just like you run yours if you have that right then why do you deny us? We tried the mixed version and it wnent totally wrong yet division has created a peaceful exsistence . .

How do you propose to run your own state if you had any intention of allowing the ethnically cleansed Cypriots to return to their homes and be the rightful majority?

Your views on refugees are very clear. You on an individual basis are supporting the violations of other human beings. By you supporting the so called trnc and the fact that you get on this forum advocating for independence of the occupied area are supporting the perpetual violation of refugee rigts.

If you do not support drug selling in your community to your young ..... you do not buy and certainly do not sell it because you do not wish to support it... Same goes with the trnc, you do not agree with the violation of refugee rights you simply do not support the very regime that perpetuates the violation of those rights.

That is my view.

The TRNC is a safe haven for us which came about due to mistakes made not only by us but more so imo by GCs, I do not want to go over the same ground but what you have to realize is that from 1974 to 1983 the TRNC did not exsist yet we still could not agree unification and therefore with no hope very much like today the TRNC was born. We will continue support the safety of our community until a time we feel the offer for reunification is structured in a way that GCs will not be allowed force TCs to do anything against their will, it is this structure we have tried to agree but to no avail. The hope no longer exsists and just like 1963 1974 2004 we have to take our own steps to ensure our survival as GCs clearly do not want to compromise or see the realities of today, they still believe all GC refugees will go home just to how it was in 1974, this in itself tells you a great deal about GC mentality and mountain we would have to face if we were ever stupid enough to accept going back to 1960 agreements which in a matter of months would be challenged to ensure the "RoC" would be a GC state with TCs as just another minority.

Do you think that in a TC state the majority will be the GCs? at best 20% fo refugees would return plus just like Malta we to could have quotas to ensure we are always the majority and GCs do not exploit the numerical advantage to flood with TC state for the sole purpose of taking control of te whole island.

How the hell can you take everything that has happened and just dismiss it and then tell me that no-one feels hate against me. What a crock of shit. You seem to live your life like it is ground hog day and are surprised at what happens when the same thing happened yesterday. You can dismiss my fears all you like but they are there and I am the one that has to deal with them.

"No one cares about how I live my life"...Now that is the funniest thing I have heard in years What is the Cyprob then Bir. If it wasn't for the fact that every little detail is what determines how I live my life then the world would be this fictitious place that you seem to think it is. Have you lent any one more money recently...Did you bother to sign and get get signed, a proper contract...No! explains everything. I want my future ensured and not left in the hands of fate and your mamby pamby ideals and the notion that all will be well in the end. We have a president of an illegally formed country that was not only an EOKA terrorist but the author of the Akritas Plan which put him in power in the first place. The long term strategy that was the Akritas Plan has worked and you want to swallow it hook line and sinker but not having enough you are taking the whole rod down your throat. Perhaps when Hitler walked into Poland we should not have worried...France was just a matter of time and the we should have said "No Problem. Lets be friends".

You need to subscribe to another channel other than the Disney Chanel Bir. We do not live in brightly coloured houses with the only worry being "Which fuzzy puppet monster took the cookie". We have real problems to solve. We know who took the cookie but you just want to say "Its fine" while your children's stomachs grumble an d the monster eats the cookie noisily in front of them. We live in the real world my friend in which people are people and not the fictitious love in that you seem to think exists. Ask the GCs to guarantee my rights and then when you get that on paper we can talk but until then we will take the only alternative left to us. They don't want to talk along lines of any other deal except for a total surrender to an illegal state and you tell me that is ok! Get some deals going before you condemn me for getting on with my life after 40 years of no movement. For gods sake...what the hell is wrong with you

Zan..I know my opinions frustrate you sometimes, but just spare a thought about what yours are doing to me??? You and some others are stuck well and truly in a time warp,mate...You cannot see what the world has come to,let alone see what it will be like in 100 years from now...

My option for Cyprus offers the only chance we have of surviving into the next century as Cypriots...If we drop this obsession with our Turkishness" and our "Greekness" and embrace each other as Cypriots in a united fully functioning democratic Republic we might just be able to hold the great globalisation tide back long enough to accertain our survival in the foreseeable future as a distinct nation...

But if we insist on hanging onto the past animosity, bitterness and hatred, which any solution other than full reunification will cement into our hearts and minds forever,we are condemning the future generations to the same cathastrophy we went through...So my formula is double osmosis, the merging of the TCs and GCs into one people, one nation of Cypriots...In a democratic republic which respects human rights and equal opportunity principles...A nation where the notions of "majority" or "minority" do not exist...Only people from different ethnic backgrounds living in respect and harmony...With religion playing less and less an influence on the minds of TCs and GCs,your faith should be no concern of anyone, between you and your God...In my Republic everyone will speak at least 3 languages...Everyone will be proud of our common ancestry :the Great philosophers and warriors of ancient Greece and the Great warriors and philosophers of the East like Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi,Pir Sultan Aptal,Yunus Emre,Karacaoglan, Hodja Nasreddin,Hafiz,Omar Khayyam etc etc...Cypriots will be the most tolerant and most civilised nation in the whole universe...Now isn't that something to strive for>>>???? :) :) :)

VP, as I said a million times already, if YOU (TCs) want to run your OWN state, then this is PARTITION (I assume this is what you also have meant!) You can only do so if you withdraw to the 18% of the island, and this only if all the members of the TC community would want to follow it! If any percentage of TCs would wish to remain RoC citizens and choose to live outside the territories of YOUR OWN (TC) state, then the area of your OWN state will have to be further reduced accordingly! How more fair can I be, and how more clearly can I explain it? What is it that you do not understand or are not happy with?

Kifeas

You obviously have MUCH more experience in dealing with partitionists. Well said, again. I like the idea of reducing the area of the secessionist state by the proportion of Turkish Cypriots who opt to remain Republic Citizens. You have a very fair way of thinking about partition.

VP, if this is the solution you want to have, i.e. PARTITION, then the “key” to this solution is entirely in your hands and those of your corrupting “mother!” You simply tell us this, and we declare to the world that we are ready to accept partition and grand you independence, as soon as you withdraw to the 18% of the island, after conducting a census among the TCs as to who will wish to remain a RoC citizen, and who will not! The majority of GCs I know for sure are ready to accept such a solution! The “key” is entirely in your hands, so stop telling us all this time that all you want is to run YOUR OWN state! Just do it!
