ok, nationality and race is just a coincidence..it just happens and U have to accept it like the colour of ur eyes...no other option.

so it is very stupid to argue about it since it just happens and it isnt ur own choice or creation..

The people who are proud of their race or nationality are usually fools or ignorants.. :)

Karma, ones nationality is possible to change but the race you can do nothing about, you're born with it.

u r right, but none can ever be a reason for me to be proud of..I find it silly..

Is there anything that makes you "proud" karma, anything at all?

yes, my child, which was my own choice to create

What about your wife, did she have a "choice" to "create" your child?

I was the wife

You was the wife? What are you now?

Ok, that might be a bad joke, forget it.

Ok, here's the same question but reversed roles.

What about your husband, did he have a "choice" to "create" your child?
not mentioning the fact that centuries of acting the hosts on our liitle rock means most of us are neither GC of TC anyway....more of a Greco-Italo-Arabo-Turko-Egglezo cocktail.
couldn’t agree with you more, i cant believe cypriots believe that they are greek when their island has not been apart of greece for 800 years! do they think that foreigners didn’t move to cyprus when it was a crusader state? did venice hold on to the island for 100 years and not have a single cypriot italian marriage? do they think that there was not a single cypriot-turkish marriage during the ottoman rule?

my nationality is British, my race is Cypriot and the culture i am a part of is greek, as i can speak greek and apart of the greek orthodox church.

i have been mistaken as greek, turkish, irani, Egyptian but mostly Italian actually. you could say i am non of these or you could say i am all of them as i am a Cypriot "cocktail" :)

Sorry, I didn't know that.

Ok, let's get this straight now.

You made a choice and don't give a damn about your x's choice and you expect me to accept and obey what other people choose for me?

That's your choice, am I not allowed to choose to identify myself as a Turkish Cypriot if I want to?

Does that name not come from Greek?

Well, thank you for that, at least you are not trying to tell me that I am a "Cypriot" and I must forget my Turkishness.

That was not my intention and I apologise. The mediterranean people are always being mistaken for one another and believe that everyone in Cyprus is Greek.

Well mate , you also have a Greek name !! If as you say you are a T/C , and I still doubt that , why not fly the flag of Cyprus , what is it with the Turkish flag , are you trying to tell us that the T/Cs are not Cypriots and therefore foreigners , because the flag of Turkey is a foreign flag , just as the Greek flag is foreign.
