As for the lunacy of modern Greece, well you are a part of it. One of the reasons most Cypriots do not want Enosis, is that we don't want to have people like you governing us. Nice that you dropped by the forum so our Turkish Cypriot compatriots can see what a typical mainlander is like.

As Karamanlis said ''Greece is a huge lunatic assylum''
Yet a typical mainlander Greek would commit a harakiri if you touched his Greekness.I wouldnt 8)
I d go party somewhere

Your comments remind me of Iraklidis, professor at Panteio, you are not related by any chance?

Alexis,

I find his arrogance fairly typical and echoing superficial but widely held views such as "we will take Cyprus", or other comments derogatory of Turkish Cypriots. Once I asked a former high ranking military man who was in the "we will take Cyprus" mode who he was going to take it from and who he was going to give it to and he called me half breed saracen.

Parallel to this chauvinistic arrogacne there is a mysterious anti Greek racism practiced by the Greeks themselves, just think of the word Koloellina (asshole Greek) used by Greeks towards each other. There was even a pop song with that title! Like Michael Kakoyannis the film dircetor said, some of the worst enemies of this country are born right here.

Now read again SNs posts and see if these tendencies are not reflected there.

Ah, a Bachelor from a 3rd class UK uni, the favourite alternative of all the rejects of the Greek universities... Did you have to prove you're worthy of admittance in any way prior to your registration or was mamma's money enough?!? I'm not sure you should value your UK "diploma" more than your eastern european one

The "we will take Cyprus" mentality belongs to a minority of far-right undereducated misanthropes, the likes of which can easily be met everywhere in the world, including Greece, Turkey or Cyprus, thus it's not an exclusively Greek trait.

Nikitas wrote:Parallel to this chauvinistic arrogacne there is a mysterious anti Greek racism practiced by the Greeks themselves

That is true, but this attitude is neither chauvinistic nor arrogant.

Nikitas wrote:just think of the word Koloellina (asshole Greek) used by Greeks towards each other. There was even a pop song with that title!

You should not take this word out of the context that Savvopoulos put it in. Its purpose is to satirize the mentality of some "misbehaving" Greeks, not to apply a generalization that serves anti-Greek purposes.
