It's the Tottenham "supporters" I am angry with today, singing the Turkey stuff, and that bloke who decided to wave the Turkey flag...

I supported Anorthosis way bach in mid 50s when I was living in Ayios Loukas Famagusta , those days of Zangilos , Shailos , Kouvis , Papiros , Aspris , Shailis , I wonder if anyone remembers them.

Of course the Anorthosis fans never said a word did they and they didnt taunt our fans did they?

If you go to Tottenham and start chanting about yids and Arsenal....expect a response.

Anyway... 6-1 was a blessing. It should have been 10-0.

I was at the match. There was a good number of Cyprus Flags which I was pleased to see and a number of Greek flags which I was not pleased to see. I thought Anorthosis was a Cypriot side-apparently not. To their credit they were still supporting their team even when they were 6-1 down.
The Anorthosis fans started taunting the Spurs fans with Arsenal chants and got their just deserts with shouts of Turkey, Turkey and "You're just a small town in Turkey. You reap what you sow. Amen.

Absolute rubbish. I was in with the Tottenham "supporters" right next to the away support. Tottenham supporters proudly call themselves "yids" so it's hardly an insult when they sing it themselves. And I would hardly compare chanting Arsenal with "small team in Turkey", "we love you Turkey" and "we're glad your family died". I heard all this around me. A bridge too far I thought. Have Arsenal invaded THFC and occupied parts of it illegally for years? If so this is the first I heard.

saravakos......why do you seek to turn this into a Cyprus Problem thread? I'm hoping to travel to the return match. It would be nice afterwards to post on here that NO racist comments were made by the home support. After all, 2 wrongs never make a right. Lets see if your words don't come back to haunt you!
