You are not alone Kiwi, the majority of Tcs support partition as the only real solution considering that we are unable to work out an alternative, especially after the slap in the face of the referendum.

Unable to work out an undemocratic blackmail seems more appropriate...

Is that like the economic blackmail vs minority rights you are trying to impose on us??

The fact that the TCs are a minority community has nothing to do with the RoC and everything to do with your motherland abandoning your forefathers here.

Colonialism failed everywhere in the world and those left behind by the colonialists either assimilate and move on in life or move out altogether and usually back to their motherland. What is happening on Cyprus can only be described as an extraordinary delay due to the close proximity of the colonialists but this story is also coming to a close...

If Turkey joins the West she will have to abide by the laws of the West and that also means relinquishing Cyprus, if on the other hand she opts for the East she will then be subjugated by the West as she will be seen as a direct threat and will thus forcefully relinquish Cyprus.

Do you really believe what you say or are you conditioned to respond in that manner, man nothing will give you back what you lost unless you compromise and agree a structure where we take our role and have a say in our own future, we will not assimilate into a GC state where we are foreigners in our country.

The Cyprus Problem is not about two communities at odds with each other as you seem to think but about the struggles of a small island that has seen many invaders come and go and her indigenous population emerging triumphant each and every time as intended by nature.

Unfortunately, you do not see the greater picture of Cyprus because anyone who wants to become Cypriot needs to ACCEPT and EMBRACE the island as a WHOLE and not just part of it because it's a PACKAGE of an ancient land and its ancient people.

You cannot pick and choose which aspects of it to have and that is why it’s not working for the Turkish Cypriot community which constantly challenges and rejects the indigenous GCs but has more than worked for the much smaller and weaker Armenian and Maronite communities.

You hold onto that thought until you die as you surely will thinking that you will overcome this one as we to are the indigenous people of this island with rights to its usage, it was hell with you and is heaven without you, do you think we need to jump back into the fire? without a BBF structure you havent got a chance in hell to resolve anything and until you realize that your current politics will backfire just as they did in the past you will not progress towards ever uniting this is island, we are closer than ever to recognized division than we are a GC unity state wth TCs as such another minority.

Where was this philosphy during 1963 to 1974, Cypriotism is to little to late we are happy with our share of the island, if you come to your senses and realize we are equal partners then we can talk until that time we will remain divided.

You have see and accept the realities before you we to are ingenious to Cyprus and demand we are treated as an equal community to yours, the minorties threw their lot in with you guys so they can do what they wish but we do not have to follow.

Who says its not working for us, have you been to the TRNC?

And how do you propose this partition to be marked territorially? Do you have any map to show us, or you just consider the GCs to be some kind of suckers that will accept 36% of their ancestral homeland to be taken away from them and be gifted to the 18% of Cypriots that the TC community constitutes?

You know something "ExpatKiwi?" I do not care what you think about the Cyprus issue, or who you believe is right and who is wrong! I only care what those that matter do think about the issue! And it clearly seems that those around the globe that do matter, including your own countries government(s,) do not share your views! It is obvious that you are a misinformed smatterer, and as they say: "sciolism is worst than complete ignorance!"

I believe he has VP and has seen that the TCs are not starving and are no where near to surrendering to the ENOSIS seeking GCs. This is what makes him mad enough to start talking about war.

I remember that one GC even made it very clear (just to scare the TCs) that the GCs would be sitting drinking coffee in Karpaz within TWO days. He said that he went to the gym to get fit so that he can run fast enough to be able to do it.
