Stop trade with the enemy Turkey, the impact will far greater on the north than the south, block goods from Turkey, place visa on visitors from Turkey, vote for enosis with Greece, creat problems with government transactions, discrimination to start with...

Look! He's even giving them a salute!!!!

EOKA was a liberation organisation. In fact they are the ones who threw the British out of here and gave us the Republic of Cyprus.

Your photo also points to "Enosis" printed on the flag. Translating is to "union with Greece"
Yet what is written on the flag says: "Enosis Agoniston Lefkosias" Union of Nicosia district fighters.

always at your disposal for any further information and or clarification you may require.

Oh yes Makarios is saluting the freedom fighers. The ONLY freedom fighters we ever had in Cyprus. :P :P :P

Imo Makarios couldn't handle the state. I doubt anyone under those circumstances could.

However has anyone ever thought what would happen to the TCs if Makarios was not the President of Cyprus???

[quote="miltiades"][As an American supporter , every one knows my views on this forum , let me quote a great American, " Get of your donkey and drink your milk !!>quote]

I think the famous quote was:- "Get down off that milk and drink your horse"

I could be wrong, sorry to interrupt but I saw humour in it.

Of course it's GC lies and propaganda that the war in Cyprus is everyone else's fault but the GCs.

NOPE not everyone else's fault . . . . just the Turks' fault!

So all the other GCs are lying when they claim that the CIA and the British instigated it the Cyprus genocide war against us Turkish Cypriots in the name of ENOSIS then?

The GCs also claim that the "colonial powers" supplied weapons and spread race hatred to "divide and rule", you are claiming that they are all lying?

Very nice of you to confirm that the GCs are liars. Thank you.

We want safeguards against what you find so easy to dismiss so that it is not us left with shattered dreams and civil unrest.

You started the intercommunal conflict by siding with the colonialists, and then you blame Makarios for it. Ridiculous.

Did we or did we not have the right to retaliate to your fight for expulsion of the Brits and your under lying desire to become Greece which would have meant an end to our community. We had to fight back for survival any community in the world would have done the same and do even today when they feel they are at risk, this was and is our right when forced to do someting against your will.

The only reason you resisted is because Turkey was there. If that was not the case then you would've assimilated just fine with the rest of the country, as happens elsewhere all over the world, and you and I would've never met.

How true, he would have been dead along with the rest of us Turkish Cypriots a very long time ago.
