I hate Archbishop Makarios.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You claim to be a sober clear-thinking person on this forum. So I'm asking you to approach me in that manner...

Look expatkiwi, you answered your own question. Piratis is a brick wall which has had an old gramaphone smashed into it.

Every time a hail of deliberate Greek bullets kill Turkish Cypriot women and children, I hate Archbishop Makarios. And I have hated this bloodstained man ever since he gave his blessing to that bandy little bandit Grivas and EOKA to shoot down in cold blood our own men and women and children. And now this arch hypocrite is giving his blessing to his young savage dogs of war by calling the Turks 'Barbarians and criminals.' Deliberately he incites racial hatred and promotes religious war with sanctimonious proclamations that 'The Cypriot people are determined to the death for their liberty and the integrity of their country.' And he sits back in his comfy marbled palace well pleased when Nicosia's Greek daily Eleftheria screams; 'If there is to be a world war over Cyprus, let it be soon.'

For nine years, longer than both world wars, he (Makarios) has been responsible for every drop of blood that has been shed on this wretched island. He has been responsible for corruption of youth, the uncontrolled violence of the EOKA thugs and the murder of the innocents. He is responsible for what is happening in Cyprus this very minute. He could, God forbid, be responsible for plunging us all into the abyss of a dreadful world war."

these sentiments and words are writen by an ignnorant mind, amins that is blured to truth,a mind that will only associate with like minded people reagrding this matter, a mind that will persitently and continuely enforse this way of thinking, to his children to his friends and to the world,

these words are written only to promote hate only to promote anger and only to promote negative,

these words are only written to inflame what is still a fragile situation in cyprus, these words are written with the aim to keep the cypriot situation as it is dedided

these words are written with the aim of taking sides

these words are written to promote hate

these wordsa are written to educate young to hate

these words are written by an uneducated mind, that has its own problems psychologicaly, for if it did not have these problems normal functioning brain would not come forth with such hate.

during the fifties most cypriots betrayed their own island by becoming agents of greece and turkey thus eoka and tmt, they never asked we are cypriots we have been invded and rules for over three thousand years

they never asked that most cypriots spoke greek and turkish fluently in the fifties that an outsider couldnt tell who was go

i can say so much more reagrding this post but thats all i have to say right now

Is that a fact? So how does 12.3% get interpreted into 31% bozo?

Take away the bozo part and then finally he may respond to his being caught out.

eric dayi,

Makarios died 30 year ago. Are you trying to revive the intercommunal fighting of the past or just justify the turkish invasion of '74?

Do you really think he ever can? Let's hope he's learned his lesson and next time thinks twice before playing the sophisticated encyclopedic!

I don't have a problem with him having a deficient mind but I don't take kindly to such a person propagating it to the world.

Theres loads of pictures like the above which prove Makarios was DEFINATELY supporting EOKA...Sorry but those people in the pictures have guns and I think it's safe to say it's EOKA. A religious president should have no place in this scene and no one in here should be ignorant enough to try excuse his evilness...............

Garagoz,

I find your comment to be evil. I dont know if the pic is authentic and photo shop is an easy tool to use. It doesnt even matter--EOKA was an organization which fought for the expulsion of United Kingdom troops from Cyprus. I think you and Turkish Cypriots have a hard time differentiating between EOKA and EOKA B.

One more thing, i wouldnt have thought id ever here you agree with Eric. What a shame.

Im sure your views on Arabs who are currently trying to free the occupants from their lands as freedom fighters. If its a Greek Cypriot supporting this then all of a sudden its evil. Well ill tell you what. We Cypriots are a proud people as well and f@ck all occupants of this land. I hope that crystal clear, for you and for Eric.

When it comes to Makarios OFCOURSE I agree with Eric. Every single TC HAAAATES Makarios no matter what their views on unification, you can be sure of that mate!
