There must be some confusion because you see, we were fighting the coupists...The coupists had cornered us in little enclaves and as soon as the time was right they started to slaughter us. We held on with much heart but we were not helped by our Greek Cypriot cousins, who seemed to be helping the coupist were they could...We all know what happened to the thousands that tried to help but even that was blamed on Turkey....
