Missing : Looking in the wrong place

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Missing : Looking in the wrong place

Postby Agios Amvrosios » Tue Mar 01, 2005 1:46 am

My uncles(civilians) are among the missing.Just teenagers. They were taken to Turkey for months but they never returned. My mother's cousins saw them and spoke to them when they were taken to Turkey.

Why does everyone keep looking for the bodies in Cyprus. It doesn't seem logical to me that the turkish army returned their bodies to Cyprus from Turkey. Why would they go to that expense?

Why doesn't anyone look for them in Turkey instead?

So far no bodies have been revealed.

That is a very good point.

But can you honestly see Turkey telling the whole world that it took hundreds of prisoners to Turkey and killed them?

And can you honestly see the coupists, Junta of 74 and the others who have been in power afterwards telling the whole world that they murdered TCs and GCs more than the number officially made public? The same assumption well goes to your side as well...

Does it actually matter (to the relatives - not to the 'propaganda mongers) where they were killed? Surely the issue is for the relatives to know what happened and where the bodies lay - be that killed by Turks and bodies in Turkey or be that killed by GC and the bodies in Cyprus?

Erol,

As you probably know yourself, these things DO matter. When we found out what happened to my uncle we wanted to know all the details of what happened and where so that we can get some sort of closure on the subject. This is a humanitarian issue and should be treated as such.

-mikkie2- you are totally right, these issues should be resolved at the earliest date, so that both communites can put an end to the heartache they constantly feel not knowing what happened to their loved ones.
