Ever considered having a dog?

Postby Saskia » Fri Sep 14, 2007 2:21 pm

Then this is the one for you!!!:

Elvis was rescued at the end of July by my friend and we are looking for a loving home for him. It is a male cross collie of 1 year old. He is sweet, affectionate, easy to groom and a quick learner. The past weeks he has been looked after and trained by her and myself. He showed that he is an excellent family dog and is good with (small) children and other animals. We have called him Elvis because he has an old pelvis fracture.

By coincidence we found out who the previous owners of the dog are. They admit having dumped the dog after he had a car accident, and refuse to take him back. We checked with the vet and Elvis is recovering excellently from the old fracture.

Elvis is vaccinated, dewormed, neutered and house-trained. Because he loves to be petted and to play, but should not run too much, we think that an ideal new home for him would be with a family or with retired people who do not have another dog (or he'll play too much and hurt himself) or an elderly or calm dog. This is one of the reasons why we cannot keep him ourselves (our own dog is also still young and very playful).

If you are interested and would like to come by and meet Elvis, call Susanne at 96-509989.

PS Elvis is such a cool dog. Susanne took him for a small off-road ride on the scooter and he actually enjoys that! ;-)

That's wonderful. I hope you're serious. He really does deserve someone who'll take him for life ! When you meet him you'll understand.

By the way, his hip has healed almost fully!!!!! Apparently getting some fat on him did wonders ;-)) so placing him with a young dog is no problem any more ;-)
