Stop being so childish miltiades.

i think miltiade's comment was an observation, in the form of a question. i don't think you need to get defensive about it, Eric Dayi.

miltiades made his comment knowing perfectly well that I am a TC and the reason he made it is because I refuse to drop the Turkish and become a "Cypriot" only. But let us not ruin this thread arguing about this subject.

I understand that you probably see a lot of that and your point is understood. But everybody has to die, Lena, money or not.

The time to make oneself happy is before you do. Because nobody knows when they'll buy the farm, the time to start is now.

Dinos we all going to die...is anybody of us going to take money with him?

You can be happy without a big amount of money. I will repeat my self one more. Yes money are welcome but enough to have a good life not rich life.

Lena, if you have a sense of humor about this, then yes...when someone dies, they can be cremated with all their money. That's about as close as you can get, though. Being buried with it will just get your grave robbed. 8)

Seriously, money is not something that is supposed to buy happiness, honor or extend one's life. It is simply a tool you use for normal life as well as long-term (i.e. retirement) planning. In the long run, money will buy you freedom if you can maintain some discipline. The majority of people with 7-figure net worths understand this and usually drive used cars, have modest homes, support some charities and don't spend extravagantly.

The issue I have with your statement - that it's enough to have a good life but a rich life isn't necessary - is that there is no way to differetiate the two. What is a good life? What is rich - one mil? Two? Ten? 100? Or is it enough to just save enough so that you can live off the interest? The bottom line is that if one can't impose some discipline on oneself, they will always be poor (both financially and emotionally) regardless of how much they make or have. They just look rich.

So, in a roundabout way, discipline, to me, is the essence of riches in life. It is discipline that allows you to appreciate what you have - friends, family, your house, food, etc. It is discipline that will keep you from losing money to the trappings of wealth. And it is discipline that allows you to say "I like me - piss off if you don't."

Hope you're well!

And I'm a G/C who would find flying the Greek flag offensive to my T/Cs compatriots , it would also indicate as yours does that Cyprus does not exist as a nation but is a mere extension of either Turkey or Greece. It is such behaviour that has caused our people so much suffering and the continual exhibition of "motherland " bullshit will in the future bring more conflict and suffering to our people. An independent mind will tell you and all those Cypriots with same mentality that our island is neither Greek nor Turkish but it is how the entire world views Cyprus to be.Do you for instance consider that the flag of a foreign nation , that of Turkey is acceptable to your compatriots , or do you consider that the Turkish flag is not that of a foreign nation , and if so then your no more Turkish Cypriot
than the 40 thousand Turkish troops on out soil .

Yes I am fine and now that I saw we are agree I am even better.

Money are necessary in our lives either we want it or not but I loved one of your lines which I agree 100%. I agree with the whole paragraph there but that is one of my believes. So you agree that money is not everything  just kidding!
