I stepped out tonight, just now in fact, to gaze upon the beautiful night sky I have become accustomed to seeing as I look south over the hills of Parekklisia towards the coast, and what do I see?

Lasers! Lasers crossing the sky and tearing it into three slices. So that's that ruined then.

I have no idea what it looks like from your corner of Limassol, but some antisocial bastard who owns a night club or hotel has decided to fuck up the night sky for everybody for miles around. I don't get incensed about many things, but this sort of behaviour REALLY hacks me off.

We've just had a long discourse about grafitti on this forum, well now they've grafittied the one thing I thought was completely sacred – the SKY.

Your thoughts, class.

I was passing from the area earlier. The lasers are from St. Raphael hotel. ;)

I don't think there was a wedding reception on Thursday. Usually they are on Sundays.

Its just ugly. It used to be impresive in the 90s but now its just a waste of energy resources.....

I just remembered why i think its a wedding hall... once i was driving from Limassol to Larnaca and i could see lasers on the sky coming from a place called Trikkis palace.

I'm sincerely hoping that last night was a one-off – it will not matter then.

We used to live near Newmarket in the UK, and there they had a night club that somehow obtained permission to fire these lasers up into the sky EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. The night sky for miles around was ruined by pulsating stripes of light whizzing back and forth. For every spotty teenager that thought "CooL!" there were 100 homeowners whose evening skies were ruined.

This is what I am fearing for Limassol. I hope I'm wrong – let's see what happens tonight.
