Sorry to hear about your dog being "murdered". Even though your dog was in the safety of your car, it did not save him. I'm very certain that you will get another dog when the time is right for you, and your new dog may also face the same outcome as Zicco did. May I suggest to you and all others with animals that are left alone for a while and that they are out of your immediate view, is to have them muzzled while you are gone, so that they are not able to eat anything that is thrown at them. I'm not sure if all muzzles are designed to protect them from eating, and if not, it may be worth the money and the effort to get a special one made for your dogs.
Hey !, that's a great idea Kikapu, muzzle your dog when you leave it unattended in the confined space of your car in scorching temperatures, that way, on your return (and finding your dog dead) there can be no question of a maniacal 'Dog Poisoner' on the loose.
The owner would be forced to accept responsibility for his/her own negligence, thus sparing the population of Cyprus the prospect of being branded a nation of animal "Murderers" (as you choose to put it).
Would it not be more accurate to assume that the owner (in this case) unable to face the consequences of his negligent action, sought to lay the blame elsewhere in a most vile manner ?.
I know where my money would be placed, in the event of a 'Book' being made upon the actual likelihood of negligence being the sole cause of the unfortunate animals demise.
Confession is good for the soul (so it is said) perhaps the owner should 'Front Up' (no, not the kilt
) and accept that his actions were absolutely unacceptable in this case (details of which I have thoroughly perused).(IMHO)
