Well my friend, far be it from me to deprive you of your item of identification, I assure you that such was never my intention.
BUT, since you have it, may I suggest that a good poke in 'THE HIGHLANDER'S" butt might serve as a reminder that he should take better care of his dogs ?.
A thrust from the 'Spoon End' might be more appropriate as a punishment for him trying to shift the blame on his innocent neighbours (the villagers).
