You are not talking to walls Halil, you are talking to Greek Cypriots (and Greek) propagandist who would do anything (even make themselves look stupid) to spread lies about us Turkish Cypriots and Turks.

They know they lost the argument about the surname issue even before they started to argue about it but they still tried their best (or worst) to make it sound as if we in the KKTC are doing the wrong thing.

Have a look at pyro's post, he doesn't have an argument left in him and now he is trying to tell us all about the English law which his clan broke by trying to genocide us and steal our lands. Childish or what?

Greetings,Eric Dayi...
Good to see you are alive and kicking.

But pray tell me,where is the lie in the statement "forcing TCs to take on surnames, and abandon their traditional way of naming themselves, has made it impossible to tell TCs apart from the settlers"?????

Now you can argue that this result is purely coincidental, and was never intended ...That would be a reasonable argument coming from you. But you can't say it is not true...Even the proverbial Blind Freddie will see through your denial...And even the crows would laugh at you... :D

I really don't understand how you and Kiks can just sit there and wish the worse for your people just so you can be proved right.

You failed to understand a lot of things it seems,Zan...

And the most frustrating thing for me is this: you do not understand that I take the total Turkification of the TCs to be the worse thing that can happen to them...We did not go through all that we did as TCs,and survived on our own, between 1964 and 74,to turn around and be swollowed up whole by our "saviours"...The Turkish sea is too big for us to survive in...But the Cypriot sea is just the right size. And it is also where we belong...As a large minority we can hold our own, keep our identity, and survive and prosper as Cypriots...But you are intend on jumping over the cliff into the big Turkish ocean where you will never be seen again...Don't expect me to jump after you lot...

Bir, your first name is Turkish as is your surname, you also use a Turkish screen name and you complain about being "Turkified"?

Give it up Bir, you are p*****g against the wind and there is no way it's not going to come back and hit you right in the face.

Stop playing the fool,Eric Dayi. I know and you know that you are no fool.

The difference is that my name and surname was chosen by my father (and I do have a surname which is not my father's first name),on his own free will, before I was even born...And they are not Turkish names but go as far back as the Selchouks and the Huns...But of course everything is Turkish in your eyes...Even the Eskimos, right????

It seems that you do not understand that I do NOT see that as the worse thing that could happen but me being a minority in a Greek run country which will no longer be my own the moment I give in will be. I have said many times that I have nothing but respect for Greeks but I am not one just as much as I am not a penguin. I was once proud to be a Cypriot but the tricks the GCs have played from the outset of the Zurich agreement to not only take away my constitutional rights but my identity as a partner in Cyprus, that has gone out of the window. I don't know, or rather I do but am confused by it, how the hell you think we are going to survive through GC administration. The first thing they will do is kick out all the so called Turkish settlers and you can bet your bottom dollar on the fact that they will throw out a hell of a lot of TCs along with them. Sure we changed our names fore many reasons and one of them being to unite our people in the TRNC/KKTC. You, like Kikapu wanted the siege to work on your own people so that you can have your reunification. How sick are you people. You cannot see that everything we do and have done will be used against us by the GCs. They will use the fact that they cannot tell who is and isn't TC to deport so many innocent people and grab so much land that is not theirs that we will be knocked for six. These guys don't play fair and unless a new constitution or full implementation of the Zurich agreement is put into place we will suffer while you sit back and watch. Why the hell should we go from a position of strength to ailing lambs over night. Have you really thought your idea of unconditional surrender to an illegal "RoC" through before you spit your poison out on your own people. You might as well open the doors to the gas chambers yourself and welcome in your own people, in political terms.

So What was the response by me and so it stands........We have become used to being Turkish and it is no fault of our own....Make no mistake that the Akritas plan was put into operation and is in full working order. We cannot afford to let them get away with. We will progress and move on instead of suffering even more embargoes that you suggest we put on ourselves. We will go into the 21st century that Kikapu thinks we are not part of kicking and screaming for our rights along the way. We will change our naming system and build what ever we want to progress out of the siege mentality that we have been left with. Is that not what you and Kiks have been moaning about...That we are backward in this respect and then you have a go for moving in the right direction. They want to talk fairly and rightfully then we are here and waiting...The walk into a trap is not going to happen and the rest of the TC people are waking up to that fact.

I saw a cookery programme yesterday about challenging take away foods with a chef in your own kitchen seeing if he could cook a take away meal in your home that is cheaper, more tasty and quicker than a take away....Guess what was on this particular program...Yes you guessed it, the great Greek Take Away "Kebab" shop......... Cypriots were mentioned twice and not a TC in sight......The rest was how great the great Greek cooking was....Those great Greek dishes like Seftali and Humus and of course the Greek Salad.....Any one know where Feta cheese really comes from

The island is being promoted by Greeks for Greeks and we have not got a place in it as far as they are concerned and we are a thorn in their side still. We have the right to determine our own future and we will. Whether we choose to do it as Turks or Turkish Cypriots, is up to us and not the GC administration. They have offered us nothing but heartache and hardship of the most degrading kind and we will not kiss their hands for it unless they admit their wrongs and take their punishment then and only then will we see them as being sincere.

So in short...What we do with our names and our country is our prerogative and the rest should have been thought out better in the Akritas plan, the Antichrist of plans designed to send us all to hell. We are sitting right in the middle of its implementation and you cannot even see that.

In fact I managed to prove everything I wanted last night, went to bed and slept like a baby while you sat up and waited to see if I would come back or not.

I must remember to thank you for that sometime in the future when the time is just right.
