CLOSE THE GATES!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Do you agree with Pantelis' assertion that pre-April 2003 Green Line restrictions should be re-imposed?

Saint Jimmy
What would the Europeans say? Where would your 'lift the isolation' cries go? Bad move,

You are kidding lots of hot air in many TCs opinion believe it when we see it..

Oh, and about what you said, about 'not having the balls to arrest anyone'. Sadly, I think they would do it. But I wouldn't call it 'balls'. If they do it, it's going to be for the wrong reasons.

They wouldnt dare the negative reprecussions that would follow from the EU which they are a member of would far out weigh anything positive coming from arresting an EU citizen.

Saint in all honesty the north has been isolated for so long that we are used to it (gained ammunity), closure might be bad for us economically but TCs are resiliant and would continue on with their normal lives. "Kebabs on Sunday" siga siga...

It would be an absolute God send if Talat closes the border. The TC side will lose a great deal.

otherwise your "TRNC" would be legal

only a matter of time my friend, I hope your administration continues with its current policies.

If "TRNC" was legal then it would have been recognised from 1983, since it is not then there's no recognition. Don't have this illusion.
We don't have an administration but an internationaly recognised goverment therefore be sure that it will continue its current policies wether you like it or not. And if you are a tc then you are a citizen of Cyprus Republic.
...you may even be a CyR passport holder but you insist in not recognizing Cyp.

Closing the borders will cause the Eu and USA to help us find a solution.
Anything expediting a solution is welcome.

All TC's are citizens of the internationally recognised Republic of Cyprus. And they still pretend that they do not recognise the Republic and they call us an administration.

For your information VP 50% of the Gcs did not pass the gates for the same reasons like Piratis. Another 25% passed just once, felt sick of visiting their own Country like tourists presenting passports and never passed again. I am in the second group.

MicAtCyp, I too have never crossed and never intend to. I will travell to the northern parts of Cyprus only if a solution is found. We GC's can not even feel secure and safe if we were in the north Cyprus. We will probably get arrested for picking roses in the gardens of our own homes.

Bit paranoid are you not, the same could be said for a tc wanting to pick flowers from his home in the south, he too can be arrested.
Paranoia only feeds the fire of partition, you know very well that you are as safe in north as in south, but if you do not want to cross like the piratis reason or whatever that is fine but do not give me petty excuses.

Those that have not crossed into the TRNC, thats your procotive and it really doesnt bother me at the least, when you consider those people views and attitudes towards TCs then its better they never cross. Many TCs have crossed and been unimpressed, saying whats the big deal they have not advanced very much both development wise or mentally, taking into account international recognition and all that entails.
