Hello earth to cuckoo land thats the only land you will ever get back with your warped mentality.

So what imaginary qualities are you asking to have recognised, when the FACTS don't seem to be to your liking?

Learn to control your primeval urges if you want recognition as anything other than, despicable villains that are in denial of their true nature and malevolent intents.

Can we now have that in English.

Here it is in short, sweet vernacular:

Phoenix,

The Tekke is a site regarded as holy by all Moslems. When ships carryin the flag of a Moslem state sail past Larnaca they lower their flag in a sign of respect. And we should be proud that the place is in the free area, Greek area, call it what you like, of Cyprus and is intact and open to visitors as long as they follow the code of dress.

It is still a pretty place to be buried at. Every year during our childhood we longed to go there at festiva times and meet with all our relatives and friends from all around the Island. We used to have Cypriot markets picnics etc. Oh yes, it was a fun place to be. Yes it is a buial site. Whats the problem. Whats weird about it? I love Irish wakes. You celebrate the life, plenty food, booze for the thirsty, its lovely. Not weird.

Please children. Its a mosque built over a burial site, Ok? Calm down you two. There are more important issues to deal with. Like What coffee are the two leaders going to drink? Greek, Turkish or Cypriot coffee, and all prepared a la Turca

Phoenix,

I am not religious, but every time I go to Cyprus I visit the Tekke because I find it a serene and beautiful place to be. So do many Greek Cypriots, and some, as strange as it may sound to you, go there to pray even though it is a Moslem site. By the same token many Turkish Cypriots pray to Orthodox saints and offer "tamata" asking for cures.

This year in Tinos there were non Christians praying for a miracle. Religion is close to people and you should not mock it. Wit in this case can be taken as a grave insult.

THis is just friendly advice
