Phoenix,
I am not religious, but every time I go to Cyprus I visit the Tekke because I find it a serene and beautiful place to be. So do many Greek Cypriots, and some, as strange as it may sound to you, go there to pray even though it is a Moslem site. By the same token many Turkish Cypriots pray to Orthodox saints and offer "tamata" asking for cures.
This year in Tinos there were non Christians praying for a miracle. Religion is close to people and you should not mock it. Wit in this case can be taken as a grave insult.
THis is just friendly advice
