Most education actually comes in the form of training which is about closing down and closing in to carry out a prescribed function. Whilst training is undeniably necessary, to mistake it for education is to kill the wonderment of the human spirit.

It is for these reasons, amongst others, that schools are amongst the worst environments in which to become educated. Schools train, they don't inspire.

Boring!

CopperLine seems like the sort of person who would come across a cucumber and ponder if it’s really green.

Is he a Horticulturalist :?

Pips

No, he's a Cucumberologist.

Is that Angouria or Angourakia :D

Did you know that the union of these is called Lingouria?

A much more interesting question to ask than are cucumbers green is to ask why they are green ?

Pictures of GR ? Nope. Karpuz or αγγούρι ? Same family, different fruit.

Everybody knows this one.....

Cucumbers are green because they reflect the "green" part of the spectrum of white light and absorb all the other wavelengths, Sir
