If I'm forced to live under the GC state I would not stay in Cyprus for a second. I have built my dream home and am getting ready to retire in the TRNC. If this was to change I would sell up at a loss if need be and get the f**k out before you could blink an eye.

TC's are their own people now, they walk with their heads held high, why on earth would I want to become a second-class citizen in my own country. NO THANKS.

 The best you can become in the "TRNC" is a second class Turk!

I can see GR is on top form tonight. Mate the way things are at the moment TC's are at a disadvantage regardless of their location. My father always said "son dont expect anything to come easy to you. 2 things will always be a disadvantage to you, 1 is that you are a Turk the 2nd is that you are a Muslim" His been saying that all my life. Wise man indeed!

People call us Turks and compare us to mainlanders when they have no idea what they're talking about  I think GCs compare us to themselves and come to the conclusion that we're Turks whereas in reality they're comparing us in completely the wrong way. We may differ from GCs but we are very similar with them in the way we differ from the mainlanders. Does that make sense?

But this "antiness" is good in some ways if you ask me, it keeps us together and we have a great little community in Cyprus. :)

Vallahi bre T_C you are of the most sensible persons in here, and i am always pleasantly surprised seeing it coming from a so young person like you.

I see two types of "Turkish Cypriots"... those with a tendency for the "TRNC" which I class as second-class Turks and those with a tendency for the RoC which I class as Turkish Cypriots.

:D It's ok Pyro, I'm just trying to make people understand because some people can't seem to get their heads around the Turkish Cypriot people. I can understand the confusion but it's not very easy trying to put it into words.
