Lighten up Murf62! Poking fun at ourselves and others is not meant maliciously, it's the British sense of humour. We don't take ourselves too seriously and love taking the mick out of others. The world is getting far too PC with everyone afraid to make a negative comment for fear of being stamped on by someone like you. if we can laugh at ourselves we can solve a lot of problems. I'm always making typing errors because I type too fast and yet English is my first language. I wouldn't be offended by that remark.

Just as well he does not listen and copy words as some British people actually say them. Not talking about dialects, more the way people insist on saying 'fink' instead of 'think' or 'ma' instead of 'my' and my biggest pet hates are when people use the 'Americanised' form of Lieutenant : and schedule. Americans have a point, the word is from the French lieu tenant, the position holder, stand-in. So Lootenant is closer to the original.

Now back to my schedule-

ILIOS GO AHEAD AND OFFER TRANSPORT!!!! There are people who do not have cars or do not drive. Here in Greece Ikea has an agreement with a transport company and parallel chekout desk for their transport services. They charge a minimum 20 Euro charge and it goes up from there.

In any case, that store always makes me dizzy, I would get transport even if I had a big car. Must be a man thing, the ladies do not get dizzy!

That still doesn't explain where the "f" comes from in lieutenant or could it be the Greek "eu" pronounced "ev" has something to do with it.
