Solving the yob culture of UK youth

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Miltiades raises an excellent point.

If Roomy will forgive me, may I instead suggest we change the name of this thread to:

Solving the PC culture of UK intelligensia

Note that I have, since arriving in Cyprus, taken to calling Britain "PC World"!

Well you had a weak charismatic leader up to recently, may his guts rot. Now you have a strong uncharismatic one. Coming to think of it, the last time you had a strong charismatic PM, it was Lloyd-George and that was the best part of a century ago. As for this country, our Prezzies have all been weak. Only Makarios had charisma, but he was just a figurehead. I'm sure he would be writhing in his grave if he could see what the island is like now.

I think the longer the situation is allowed to continue, the likes of the BNP and other facist parties will become stronger as people search for desperate measures to confront the liberalism of today.
Although the tarring / feathering of a drug dealer in N.Ireland suggests people may already have reached the point of 'desperate' :2guns:

Across the road from me live two youths 16&18 years old, the youngest has drunk and smoked since his early teens, it was a regular sight to see him leave for school smoking a cigarette and swigging from a bottle of Lager.
While the mother is at work the youngest and his visiting friends regularly smoke cannabis, he has done this for sometime now. The police know about the ever increasing use of cannabis in the area so do the schools the headmaster even told one parent where the schoolkids got their stuff from, the mother of this youth has described to me and my Wife how cannabis affects her son's behaveour.
The bottom line here is that the mother is a £35,000+ per year probation officer!
Ours is a residential town not an inner city!

Not sure about the gang culture, but the government should ban weapons to EVERYONE except the forces, and they should do it one year from now. Enough warning that way,and anyone caught with a gun that should not have one should be locked away for ever. Not hard is it? no life on the right side of prison bars is the best deterent,i reckon!

The penalty for carrying a gun in Cyprus during the 1955-59 struggle against the Brits was death by hanging , and hanged they were quite a few. !!! So we have the answer in the UK , not hanging but how about 20 years in prison , ah but we cant do that cause our prisons are full. Come to think of it the only tough thing we are able to carry our is punishing those criminals who have the audacity to park on a restricted route just so that they can deliver a parcel! What a cheek , cant they too become traffic f.ng wardens and earn their living this way.
Had a forty foot container about a month ago , driver parked at the side of our warehouse and 4 guys and a fork lift busy unloading . Ah says the Law , a stinking bloody ignorant traffic warden , cant park here, single red line , (everywhere is ) .I respond by telling him that this container came from China , cant sent it back full , have to unload . Move he says or get a ticket , I tell him to go and f..k himself , issues ticket and all is then OK , WE STAY AND UNLOAD !! What a law , yet the law expects me to pay my taxes and all other charges , rates etc , but doesn't allow me to unload my goods .
Incidentally , I hate traffic wardens , and NO they are not just doing their job , they are highway robbers employed legally to commit illegal crimes against the motorists so that councils can get enough dosh to hand out to all the bloody immigrants who are on benefits , have you noticed how many gypsies we now have in London .

Are you saying that you wish to take away the pleasures of clay pigeon and target shooting just because a section of society have become gun crazy .

Let me please remind you that with the exception of a couple of instances the gun crime in the UK is the result of illegal guns bought on the street corner ~~ banning weapons for everyone will never take away gun crime and guns will still be available on the inner city streets ~ the only people to suffer will be the legitimate gun owners who have a purpose and valid reason for owning a gun.

Whilst I don't agree with the American idea of the right for everyone to bear arms I do agree with the right to own a gun in the UK if you have a valid reason to do so

How many guns do you think there are in Cyprus ? ~~ You realise of course that virtually every Cypriot has a hunting gun and those on the national guard reserve have a G3 auto somewhere in the house ( usually under the bed ) so why haven't the Cypriots gone gun crazy ?

It's not the legitimate guns that need removing it's the idiots buying them on the street corner with the intent of using them to harm others that need sorting out and sorting out quick before the situation gets more out of control than it is now.

And as the prisons seem to be over crowded please refer to my previous posts about using old disused army and RAF camps to set up a hell on earth correction centre employing ex army personnel with a open remit and no come back from the liberal namby pamby pc brigade .

Try parking in Haringay the pay and display machines are located in the side streets and if you park on the main road you have to run to the side street to get a pay and display ticket ~~ by the time you return to the car you have a ticket on the windscreen ~~ it's happened to me twice and I've had both fines withdrawn after a lengthy argument with the payment office.

The traffic warden must hide in the shop doorways imputing your details as soon as the car wheels stop turning because there is no way they can get everything on their mini computer in the short timescale  .

I tackled the warden on one occasion (he was putting a ticket on the car behind mine who had arrived after me and was also getting a pay and display ticket) and asked him what he was playing at as I'd just been to get my pay and display ticket from the machine ~~ his reply was "are you sure that you weren't returning to the car any only bought a ticket because you saw me here " my reply was colourful to say the least ~~ when I rang the payment office I was told just to pay the fine by a lady with a heavy African accent and a nasty temperament as they have heard all the excuses and there was no way out of paying  .

I told them I would go through the dispute system and see them in court ~~ a reply was eventually received stating that on this occasion the parking fine would be withdrawn  ~~ I wonder how many actually pay the fine rather than make a fuss :?
