Your brain is Middle East Eliko , Cyprus is not !!

miltiades, I totally agree with the first part of your comment, I find the second a little bewildering since I AM in Cyprus.

Has the 'Goegraphical Position' been altered lately, or is this just another example of your inability to understand what is written?.

Oh, I see, you are referring to politics, another subject you know nothing about.

Many times in the past I expressed my sentiments concerning the huge waste of an education , obtained perhaps free in the West !
You know something Eliko , You and Bin Laden share an identical political outlook so much so that I have decided to refer to you from now on as Bin Eliko !!!

miltiades, thank you for the honour you bestow on me, at least THAT man stands by his own flag, unlike you who have become a turncoat to your country.

I am so glad you didn't name me George Eliko as that would be a burden on my soul.

It can get confusing. Look at 'Israel' Some say 'Middle Eastern' some say European. Then half the population would be European the other 'alf Middle Eastern.

For the benefit of all those confused (take notes Eliko and Denizaksulu):

The expression "Middle East" does not refer to a specific continent.
The geographical limits of the area delineate the following 16 countries.

Egypt
Jordan
Lebanon
Bahrain
Iran
Iraq
Israel
Kuwait
Oman
Qatar
Saudi Arabia
Syria
Turkey
Turkmenistan
United Arab Emirates
Yemen

Do not try to insert Cyprus in that list, I know how you Turks like to distort. Please resist your natural tendencies.

phoenix, I prefer to look at the map in order to determine the location of a country, the lines of longitude clearly define the position of Cyprus, the politicians have not yet found a way to distort the face of the earth, they ARE able to destroy much of it though.

I think I prefer the Geographical rather than metaphorical location, how about you?.

Since when have lines of Longitude/Latitude been the deciding demarcations for political categorizations? :?

If you want to be so precise, remember the world is round, not flat. East and West are in constant revolution and merely form a fuzzy blur.

Eliko, I'll reply to your previous, more substantial post later, as I have to nip to the theatre now.

I'm glad you have a sense of humour and can laugh at yourself the way others do. I just thought that Bin Eliko sounded better that MugabEliko or FidElico !!! I admire your choice of heroes too !!

I thought all you needed was three men in chimney-pot hats, a ruler and a green pencil. Thats how they carved the middle east, isnt it?
