Hi everyone. I'm GC that lives in the UK. I just wanted to ask the TC's from the North about the casinos. I'm very confused as you guy's are Muslim's. Why do you allow these places to be built as muslims do not believe in gamling.

I'm not having a go here I just would like to know why you are able to build these places if it's not permitted by your relegion.

Because they are muslim when its convenient and secular when its convenient.

Turkish Cypriots in general are not particularly famous for their religious devotion. This is most likely due to the fact that they've lived in the seclusion of a predominantly Christian island for so long and so were not under as much scrutiny as in Muslim countries.

And when adultery is against Christian/orthodox laws do they ask proof that you are not married before letting you into the brothels which you so quaintly call cabaret clubs ??? No, of course not! Its the same with gambling and drinking. Turkish Cypriot laws are made by the government not the religeous leaders - no Bishops ruling here !!! SnakeandtheCrane are you such a devout orthodox that you follow your religeon to the letter? Do you NEVER "sin"? :roll:

Is suddently a sign (beacuse of the posts) than Gcs weak up and say " Oh!!! We made a mistake, there is not not a "Cyprus Nation" is just a Greek populated island which forced to be a basdard Nation Island!!!!

Guy's please dont start slagging each other off. I only asked a simple question to the TC's. I have muslim friends you see that wont drink and dont gamble so I was just a little confused as to why Casinos were permitted in the North part of Cyprus.

As you can understand soft discussions about Cyprus can not be the case. If you involve you are always in the platofrm with lions ready to kill you, from both sides, including me-of course-
