Pyla

I am buying a house in Pyla. I have been told that the Turks and Greeks live together in harmony in this small village. Is this true?

craigbeck, there are also several 'Brits' in the village, quite a nice area actually but can be a bit windy at times.

Best Wishes, hope you enjoy your new home.

craigbeck, there are several bars and other venues along the Voroklini front which is a short distance from Pyla, I think you will find that they mostly opt for that region.

I believe there is also a 'UKCA' club very local, perhaps other members will know of it and supply you with more information.

The UKCA (United Kingdom Citizens Association) is located on the Larnaca/Dhekelia Road, almost opposite the Fire Station in Oroklini.
My wife and I are members there, and we would recommend it to anyone. Bar prices are about half of taverna prices (except beer which is the same).

Can l say l like Pyla, but l was told that no building built after 1974 has been given planning and that the deeds will never be issued? a good source of knowledge from planning in Nicosia.
l don't know if anybody has any other info on this.
