Larnaca Airport

Hi all,

not posted for a while,

Just thought i would let you know, I have just heard from a person I know working at the new terminal that there has just been a disaster and part of it has collapsed when the concrete was being poured in.

From the sounds of it, it is quite serious stuff. Surprising too as the contractors are a French company that are leaders in this field.

Nothing on the news as yet BUT I did hear 3 or 4 ambulances go past my home earlier heading towards the airport area.

We will have to wait and see

well that is good news, i must say the guy who i heard it from tends to exagerrate a little but i wouldn't think he would this time.

I assume this is a reliable source Paul. i look forward to the beer i have with my friend and listening to his heroic stories. :)

arent most foreigners in cyprus treated as third class ......

this is pretty sad ..but typical of a large project ......wouldnt surprise me if the workers were not cared for ,and not supplied with appreated head care etc
