Lovebird wanted

Postby Niki » Tue Aug 28, 2007 1:27 pm

This is a serious query before the smutty remarks begin!!!

My daughter has her heart set on getting a Lovebird for her birthday so does anyone know of a good pet shop or breeder where we get get a young healthy Lovebird?

I haven't put this in classified as no-one reads it!

Thank you! 8)

I believe that for lovebirds to flourish and stay content, you'll have to get 2.

I believe it's best to keep love birds in two's Niki.

I've got a lovely bird ( but not a love bird ) I wish to get rid of  ~~ about week ago after a day of serious winds a very healthy looking pigeon walked in the door bold as brass and made it's self comfortable in our kitchen .

By the look of it it's been someones pet as it will take food from my hand ~~ it even seems to be house trained as it hasn't shit anywhere inside and actually goes outside ~ or it's suffering from constipation  .

We have tried to fool it by keeping that door closed and opening the door at the front BUT this crafty little beggar soon cottoned on and walked in through the other door .

So if anybody wants a very healthy pigeon that seems to be house trained let me know.

Mmm - a pigeon I believe is not quite right for her but thank you anyway Bill!! 8)

We have been researching Lovebirds and apparently contrary to what people think (including me) they are ok by themselves as long as they have a lot of attention. I may be wrong but this is what we have read.

Niki, try the pet shop in Larnaca town, at the covered market near St Lazarus Church (thereabouts), I think they do have several there.

Happy Birthday to your daughter (whenever that may be), will you let us know?.

Thaks Eliko, it's not until 1st October but we gave in and said she could have it early (the other wants a quad bike!!!) as soppy parents. She needs to settle the bird before she goes back to school. In theory!
