Map of Cyprus

Postby Selena79 » Mon Aug 27, 2007 5:11 pm

Hi Everyone,

could someone help me where do i find a route-planner online? I am coming to Cyprus in 2 weeks and i need a good map where i could search for specific addresses and could print it out etc...

And sg else: do u have the same electrical plug (or wall socket) like in west-europe (france, germany etc) or like in GB?

many thanks

The sockets are UK style, the 3 pin plugs, though alot electrical goods that you buy here come with 2 pin plugs, though if you do buy electrical goods, make sure they give you a convertor.

As for maps, I have a road map for all 4 of the main towns here (Larnaca, Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos) where you can get them from any bookshop at around £6 each. Don't know of any online maps though I'm afraid, perhaps somebody else may know of one.

Have a great time in Cyprus.

We use (unfortunately) the UK monster abortion of a plug :(

A route planner, such as the CTO map of the country will take you to a village/town and CTO give major town maps, but not for smaller places. Good maps, such as the equivalent of the UK OS maps, simply don't exist.

selena,

You can find info on this website (including maps & routes)
http://www.visitcyprus.com/

or

http://map-cyprus.net/cyprus.htm

Electric plugs are UK type.

Have a nice vacation in the island :D

Why dont you put hotel address and interview venue, I guess you will find correct details here only ...

Btw dont count too much on public transport ...

Try using a taxi. Once you get to the hotel have the receptionist call one for you. It is the only way to be reliable. :D The public transportation sucks big time and no one is willing to do anything about it. :x Also the traffic/street signs are either non-existent or have very small letters readable from 1 meter or closer.

Selena, when do you need the map for??

Agree with XNTric here, if you post the details, I'll be more than happy to look in my map and give you directions.
