Health Care in Cyprus

Postby BlueNoseDave » Mon Aug 27, 2007 4:10 pm

As someone who is at the early stages of looking at buying a house in Cyprus, one consideration is the availability of Health Care for UK ex pats should I require it, at the moment I don't but you never know, so a few questions if anyone knows the present position.

1 Are UK ex pats, entitled to any heath care in Cyprus.

2 If yes what forms ect,do we require

3 How much is private health care in Cyprus, is it an opption and
affordable

4 Just what is the state of Health care on the island, after all the NHS back in the UK is not great is it.

Any other info would be welcome.

To answer question 3: I am 34 and have full no excess health care with Atlantic insurance. The only thing put on the application form (that caused it to take longer than it should have to be accepted apparently) was that I had asthema as a child (practically non-existant here). Costs me £23CYP a month I believe.

Cheers
